Thanks for this AAR. Naval invasions are really poorly modelled in many games. One of the major contributors to Allied success at Normandy was their ability to suppress road and rail movement during the invasion with the large numbers of fighter-bombers at their disposal since they weren't needed to...

Absorbing and disbanding units
Is it possible to absorb divisions into corps? To make multinational corps? To disband weak/depleted/unwanted units?

Even having such an event is easily moddable. If for instance you can't countenance that event, you would simply save the event file off to a safe place, then edit the event file with notepad or other text editor, to comment out or delete the event. Anyone who can use notepad can mod tons of stuff ...

The biggest thing about such events is the fact that I can't think of any that happened. Except for two coup de' tat (Italy-Mussolini) and (Jugoslavia-Prince Paul), nothing like that ever happened no matter how bad things got. If seeing trainload after trainload of wounded, your cities being bombed ...

Is there a MAC version?
I don't use Mac, but my favorite opponent does. Is there Mac version in the works concurrent with the windows version?

Thanks for your response. But was there something less drastic you could have done prior to the morale crash and the strikes? I mean, despite all the bad things that happened to both the Soviet Union Germany, by the very nature of their let's call it hyper-controlling governments, neither nation had...

What is the hex and time scale?
I'm curious about the size of the hexes in diameter and turn length.

Dec 8 Things have been going fairly well for the German war machine, but hidden beneath all the reports of victories has been one nagging realization: the Soviets Union is not going to surrender, and indeed soldiers at the front are sending back letters filled with their weariness and concern that ...

That's just ridiculous. The problem is that since the Russian isn't obligated to defend anything west of Moscow/Leningrad/Rostov, he doesn't. So instead of the historical winter counteroffensive which happened mainly around the Moscow area with a few armies, he has almost his entire army to do it wi...

Well, I can tell you that the supply distance certainly works the way you wanted. Because Doug and I play at a very fast tempo(much more than 1 turn a day) I was able to plan the armor blob from when it was first mentioned and now stand 2 hexes From Moscow on November 1. However, the turn went strai...

It wouldn't be a game breaker if you accepted the idea that Russia or at least Moscow ,in the summer/fall of 41, can fall and adjusted US production to something like it's true level. If Russia falls...since somebody said something about much of the US manufacturing capability going into lend-lease,...

It's tricky, so we're not even gonna bother with it? This is just another 'what's sauce for the goose is not sauce for the gander' issues. Everyone had supply issues. The Western Allies had supply issues shortly after D-day and again before the Battle of the Bulge until Antwerp was fully usable. You...

The UK sub blob
Yes, an Allied blob, and I created it myself to protect against Sealion. The trick is building nothing but subs, not even researching until you have built four, giving yourself 5 in the north and one in the Med. Anyway, the point is that you can totally hem in the German Surface fleets until they ar...
