Re: Ideas for Panzer Corps 2
A Pacific War DLC would make an ideal addition to PC, I don't mean sea battles, I mean land battles such as Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Philippines etc. There are already the units below in the Editor and Random Mission Generator, but sadly no Japanese units for them to fight..:) US MARINES h...

Re: Ideas for Panzer Corps 2
The Tank That Could Have Turned the Tide But America Said No The British had the Sherman Firefly, a tank powerful enough to take down German Panthers. But despite repeated warnings, U.S. commanders dismissed it, leaving their own crews exposed. Firefly gunner Joe Ekins knocks out 3 Tigers in quick ...

Re: "Unit Packs" DLC idea
Incidentally players have been asking for a Japanese DLC and human-Russian DLC for quite a while (my cash is waiting) so it's surprising that the devs decided to spend their time and effort producing the relatively minor conflict of the Spanish Civil War DLC, have players been asking for it or what?...

Re: Are retreats in random directions and distances?
After 2000 hours thats still a thing I might never understand. There are so often situations when an unit is retreating in the worst possible direction without any reason. Imo you could call this feature at least a little bit buggy ;) Perhaps retreats (and possibly other things) have been changed i...

"Unit Packs" DLC idea
The devs might like to consider producing simple little 'Unit Packs' (not big Campaigns) that we can use in the Editor and Random Mission Generator, I'd be glad to help with historical data and testing etc. At the moment, the only nations available in the Editor are USA, Germany, Russia and Britain,...

Re: Recon planes question
Thanks guys, so even though recon planes don't have any "teeth" (guns or bombs) they still do provide useful eyeball support for the friends underneath them..

Re: Replacement points advice needed
Thanks guys, I think my replacement strategy will therefore be to usually pump in replacements if a units strength has dropped to around half, say '5' for tanks and '7' for infantry, depending on the tactical situation.

Re: Map edge supply
Thanks guys, so it seems a unit on the map edges CAN be encircled IF there's an enemy unit on both sides of it as the two examples below confirm (yellow-circled units are out of supply)-

Re: Are retreats in random directions and distances?
Thanks, so although units will tend to retreat in certain directions, there's also a random element that makes forecasting their exact path unpredictable..

Are retreats in random directions and distances?
Do units retreat in random directions and random distances? For example (below) my infantry unit was at position '1', but after being clobbered by the AI units from the white arrows, he retreated three hexes along the green arrow to position '2'. Is there any reason why he didn't retreat in another ...

Re: Map edge supply
Wouldn't work due to the way supply is applied.... The current edge supply system is highly unrealistic, for example the topmost car is sitting happily in an edge hex and can't be surrounded to cut off his supply, so every turn he'll simply get a big bunch of replacements and be as freah as a daisy...

Recon planes question
I'm still rusty after a layoff, so can somebody remind me if Recon planes support friendly units that are being attacked? For example in this pic my US objective city is under siege by German units (Random Mission Generator 1942), so I've placed a Catalina recon over the city like a guardian angel i...

Re: Replacement points advice needed
Thanks guys, I've always been a maths dummy so am still processing your replies..:) Below: here's another pair of screenshots which i'll toss into this playpen for scrutiny by this forum's holy men, my unit in the left pic has zero suppression and is fresh as a daisy (small yellow circle at bottom l...

Replacement points advice needed
In the pic on the left, my Brit infantry unit in the city has a strength of '9'. In the pic on the right i've given him a dollop of replacement points to bring his strength up to the maximum '15'. The rules say rep points given to a unit won't contribute to his fighting strength until his next turn,...

Map edge supply
I'm surprised scen creators don't put impassable borders around their maps to prevent units unrealistically drawing supply from the edge hexes. Below is an experiment I did to prevent it by putting a border of sea hexes along 3 sides of the map. The 4th side (on the left) I left open so that units a...

Re: How does the encirclement work in Kiev North?
Speaking of supply, correct me if I'm wrong but the hexes along all 4 map edges in all campaigns and scens are supply sources?smashtheaxis wrote: ↑Sat Oct 18, 2025 8:41 pm Thanks, that was the solution. I thought they could not supply from the West for some reason.

Re: DLC's question
If you open a scenario in the editor and click on the little play icon on the taskbar, it opens it up in-game turn 0 and you are able to get some units and play the mission out. I am not 100% sure you will get all the scripts right that might be checking awards/tokens form earlier scenarios or thin...

DLC's question
I recently returned to PC2 after an absence and installed game version 1.16.03. Below are the current DLC's,none of which i've got yet, so could I ask if after buying them, the scenarios in them can be fished out and played as individual standalone scens, or must I spend days or weeks wading through...
