Consider me another vote for a small scale game. I played DBA gleefully for many a year, until turned off by constant tweaking (needing printed downloads to play) but never got a taste for DBM. (it's the flanks, stupid)

I still like the simple campaign system in DBA and could see using it with this.

My favorite army is the Mongol army of Ghengis Khan and Sabutai. In the DBX games these guys get short shrift, since they don't have distant missile shooting. I should think the main point of a horse archer army is the ability to hurt your foe without reply and hopefully goading the enemy into doing...
