Initially it will be a foot army. Once I have painted the basic force, then I will look at adding a couple of extra BG's of mounted troops - but they will be the last things to collect.

Thanks for the comments though - it all helps - and with my painting speed it will be a while before I get there!

Just what do Mid/Late Medieval Welsh look like

Can anyone recommend a book and/or website with reasonable information on what the Welsh foot would have looked like?

I did not consider the Free Company, as I particularly wanted to do WOTR, and one of my friends is collecting a Yorkist force.

Thanks for the suggestions. The XB can be in 4's, so I will take that up. I don't intend to use this as a competition army, so at the moment it's likely opponents are Yorkist and Welsh. The stakes are therefore of limited use (unless another friend can be persuaded to get some despicable French type...
