The Raptor change you put forth is my favorite idea. Give standard Raptors the ECM/ECCM with light payload and add the Raptor Gunships for boarding and heavy vessel strike.

I'd also like to echo this, I've logged about 20 hours this past week and have seen three collisions that weren't indicated in the strategy phase. The number of Cylon collisions I've seen is also notable enough to mention.

Remove an unnecessary arm due to support upgrades or whatnot, add engines due to the freed up mass and advances in energy production, add new guns for the sake of guns. Shot angling would heavily favor some designs over others. The Janus or Manticore would be way more durable with this new system versus the Atlas or Minotaur. You'd also get a nasty spike with the Phobos, Arachne, and Cerberus versus the Talon and Nemesis.

It'd be best if the game just gave us Battery DPS with a breakdown of ROF, guns, and damage. when you hover. Some top and bottom turret tool tips display the same stats when there are double the turrets on the top of a vessel, doubling effective damage.

I agree the vipers have a bad tendency to enter flak nets. I believe that strike craft should avoid friendly flak, even so far as to not follow enemy fighters into them. Maybe a toggleable "Avoid Friendly Flak". Battlestars have decent durability by stats, they just get rapidly focused by ...

I'd personally like to see more. There is a certain mission where I had 9 vessels under command and I didn't feel any worse for it. I enjoy the massive battles. You begin to run out of ordnance and fighters and armor and late game tactics are very interesting.
