sorry I didnt get back sooner, work has been a bear ok yes this has become convoluted. Lets go with what we have now; I had an issue after the .21 install. That started this all. I read through all of your posts and went and made sure the google drive was not mirroring my game folders in my document...

and on another note, what is the skirmish.bam file? Is that a file for and only from the latest .21 update?

It wouldn't delete....( I got around it naturally by logging on my admin account, but thats strange).

the uninstall did not uninstall the mydocuments/ my game/s fog folders files....?????

Ive decided to tackle this from scratch. I am dling the original game from the disk. Please tell whats best form there- what update should I apply in what order etc etc ...thx.

turned off goggle dling,so it wont touch the my doc folder. I have .12 loaded tried playing error below when I tried ot reload. I am going to uninstall the game via the .12 uninstaller. can I just then load the .21 update to lad the game again? Or do I need to load another version first? 20191116_07...

so I have installed v1.5.12 installer, I did find that my goggle drive was backing up fogII Documents folder, I removed it so it wont do that.

So maybe instead of uninstalling the game, I should try installing the new patch 21. I assume I can patch to that version without installing 18 first?

so am I supposed to install[PC] Installer Field of Glory II PC Beta v1.5.20 first before I install [PC] Update v1.5.21..?????

so I dled the installer, unloaded it, dled the patch unloaded it, basically 2 hours altogether.......I played Dara and tn 5, I saved..came back and loaded it and got exactly the same error messages above I originally posted....this is infuriating...

after an hour and 50 minutes I have the installer....this is one long slog I have to tell you.........

yes sir, I have multiple times, ...I even deleted the save, closed the game, reopened it, the went back to stilicho, got to the deployment phase, saved, closed out of the game, came back and bam, error.
