Re: Massive Clearance Book Sale!

I don't understand. Does this mean that FOGN version 2 is no longer happening?

Re: Australian Championship January 23-25, Canberra

At this stage we have six Melbourne players signed up (including myself as playing TO) and two New South Wales players. It doesn't look like Dave is km this year, so Alex is the lone Inglis. We'll see who can have a crack at knocking him off his pedestal.

I've thought about it. They really sting you for flight prices and hotels around easter. But considering it.

Re: Tyrolean Revolt List

Thanks Brett! I was just about to place an order today for the beginnings of this project, and I was going to ask you for advice on flags and the like. So I'll email you today. The offer of your spare figures is very kind; I'll send you cash for the postage, and the next time we're on the same conti...

Re: Tyrolean Revolt List

That's what I thought too. As for what I like about it, well, I've got a Prussian 1813-1815 infantry corps and a French reserve cavalry corps (with either one division of line infantry or one division of guard cavalry, depending on my mood), so I've already got a couple of "normal" Napoleo...

Tyrolean Revolt List

Hey guys, After really enjoying my game against Brett from New Zealand at our tournament in Melbourne this weekend, I'm interested in painting up a Tyroleon Revolt list of my own. Tons of character, rather bizarre, very unique. However, I'm misunderstanding something in the list minimums on page 31 ...

Re: FOGN Tournament in Melbourne, July 18th and 19th

Hey Geoff. Sorry, that wasn't super clear of me. They're on our website, not the forum. The forum is part of the website, but 90% of people bookmark that and go straight to it, skipping the rest of the site, so of course you wouldn't see them. The specific page is here: http://www.leagueofancients.o...

Re: How long are your games?

At the Australian Champs in January I allowed 4 hour rounds. Probably 80% of games ended before the time limit, and even the games that hit the time limit ended up having a pretty decisive winner, once we worked out the scores using the scoring system from the downloads. The more experienced half of...

Re: Australian Championships TO's Report

I actually find this stuff interesting. There probably weren't enough players for the data to yeild any sort of statistical conclusions about overall game balance.

I was very surprised to see how little superior drilled cavalry there was.

Re: Australian Championships TO's Report

Once I have the scorecards back, I'll post a report with the forces everyone brought, full rankings, etc.

As for photos, I have a few more that I didn't post. I'm at work, so when I get a quiet moment I'll post some more.

Australian Championships TO's Report

The Field of Glory Napoleonic Australian Championship was run for the first time ever at the Cancon gaming convention in Canberra, 24th to 26th January. What official backing or authority do I have to name my tournament the Championship for the whole country? ...Well, who's going to stop me? We got ...

Re: Australian Championships at Cancon, Canberra, January 20

11 players, so an odd number, yes. Easily fixed, though, as I can simply play; I'll make myself inelligible for any prizes or podium place, of course.

I mentioned that in my email to all the entrants, today. Did you get that?

Re: Australian Championships at Cancon, Canberra, January 20

The organisers of Cancon will be officially closing registry in 24 hours, so now's the last chance for any extra players still considering this event!
