Problem with cpu overload

I'm using 64bt Win 10 with a gtx 970, 16gb of ram, ssd, and a 4790k to play OoB. The game gets super-choppy while playing for a while during the AI turn. I've turned down the settings, disabled animations during calculations, and stop "spinning" with performance. It still makes my CPU whin...

Zoom Level

I REEEEALLLLY want to buy PC Gold during the sale. But I play on a 2560x1080 monitor, and it hurts my eyes the last time I tried to play. Is there any way to increase the zoom level?
