I found the solution to this. In Controls, I had the Mouse Control Scheme set to "Two-button controls." Previously, this had worked fine, but apparently, later it was a problem. Setting it to "One-button controls" fixed the issue with the game now responding to mouse clicks.

Not a PC guy. When will there be an iOS or Mac version? Still disappointed that this started out an iOS game and morphed into a PC game, but I will buy an iOS or Mac version, if you make one.

This a great deal, which I might use to purchase three games, except that I need the iPad versions, which the Slitherine site says are only available on iTunes, where the discount cannot be applied. Worse yet, only one of the three games is actually available on iTunes. Oh, well!
