Well even though I will get literally zero use from the new DLC(unless they patch the new units into the main campaigns) I will go ahead and get this new DLC. At $10 they aren't gouging for the new DLC and the game was worth more than $30.

Just watched the stream and will be for sure passing on this DLC. Had hoped to see something coming back to the SM campaigns too or even a new small one for them. Since it's all orcs and only sounds like the new SM units are skirmish or MP units there is nothing for me in the DLC.

Why not just mod them in from your side and do it right? Sigh I hate the orcs and if nothing is migrating to the base game I guess I will pass on this release till you guys come out with a new faction.

I asked this myself. I just wish I could do some testing for the beta.

I am like @FirecrackerJOE I can not wait to see more of this process. I would absolutely LOVE it though if we could get some video even. I am not very good at this kind of thing but I am fascinated with watching the process others use to make their art.

I am also curious when testers will know if they are selected are not.

I know as I post this I might not get answers to these and you might not even be willing/able to answer them at this time. Ok you mention new units but you don't really say beyond the orcs getting a revamp of their progression but will there be some new Space Marines( like longfangs with heavy bolte...

I would vote for Sisters of Battle and the Grey Knights for good guys... Bad guys I would have to vote for Eldar and Necron...

Umm I am still get the same FTP error with the new patch... Got the patch from the member area again just fine but the games patcher fails...

Another user suggested that the patch would be available as well from the members section of the store. It was so I used that to get the patch. I am golden now

LOL @Brenmusik thanks for that info I was able to get the patch that way as the standalone auto patcher is broken atm...

When it tries to download the patch from update3.matrixgames.com fails and shows a screen that says

Error:

Unable to download file.
An error occurred while trying to open a FTP file.

I didn't use the Steam Client and when trying to update the game I get a ftp error and the patch wont download. How hard would it be to move saves over to the steam version?

I am pretty happy with the game so far. I played around with it some the first couple of days and felt like it was actually too difficult. I am getting a failure to open a ftp file when I try to update the non steam version. Not sure how hard it would be to get my saves moved to the steam version or I would download it.
