Picking Nits
Well isn't that what primates do best? And it's so good for them too! Here's a few small bugs in the database that should be easy fixes: 1) Soyuz 7K-L3 LK Lander Test in Lunar Orbit does NOT satisfy the Manned Lunar Orbital Flight goal. It obviously should. 2) Gemini-Agena Docking awards the goals f...

Buzz is ready! And so am I!
Hey! Look what's in the BBC today! http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20160408-buzz-aldrins-plan-for-a-permanent-presence-on-mars Gosh. I hope this serves as an inspiration for a sequel - if one is not already in progress! Can I get a little help here? I'm gettin' old, guys. This is the only way I'm ev...

Imperialist Propaganda Trumps Soviet Triumph
Playing the Race to the Moon as NASA on "Buzz Hard" difficulty I lost the Space Race to the CCCP in 1971. I got the "Red Moon" and endgame dialogue, but I decided to keep playing anyway. (After all, there is no hard stop there - the player is basically invited to continue. I like...

Re: Red Moon Causes Plague of Frogs
Same thing happens to the CCCP when they lose the moon race to NASA. "Hero of the Soviet Union" medal, "ROBOTIC_GOALS" (with underscore) says the adjacent text box, and all goals have turned into frogs! Am I the only person to ever lose this game? RZ Running on my iPad iOS ...

Red Moon Causes Plague of Frogs
I'm guessing that not too many people lose the space race to the Soviets - otherwise these frogs would have been found long ago .. :D Playing as NASA in "Buzz Hard" mode I lost the moon race to the Soviets in the early 70's. The end game summary screen was presented to me. There were a num...

Re: Bugs in iPad Soviet space program
Heh. You got a point there. It made a nice soft landing and even transmitted some data. Looks like there were some problems tho. They should've hired more "Tiger Teams" … I'll leave that decision to you. Seems like you guys have done a pretty fair job up to here! Over and out, RZ

Re: General Stats is clearly confused
I'm betting that a quick glance at the source code for that screen will reveal the error post-haste.
Should be an easy fix, too.
Best,
RZ

Re: Bugs in iPad Soviet space program
What did you determine about the Venera 7 mission?
I'd sure like to see that one come before the damned Venera 15 probe - that thing is not only heavy, but it takes six seasons!

Re: Bugs in iPad Soviet space program
Yeah, sure, the mission was LK Lander Test in Lunar Orbit . But the same thing occurs with the test in Earth orbit or when the actual Lunar landing takes place. HOWEVER I'm thinking I may be wrong about the whole thing - after all this case is a docking between two manned vehicles (the lander and th...

Engineers in training never recover from "illness"
Bad News - Employe XXXX (SET Personnel Group)is ill and will be unavailable for one season. Yeah. Very bad news. Because this person is NEVER coming back! SET personnel (this may affect other disciplines) that are in Training when illness strikes never return to the line-up. This is 100% reproducib...

Bugs in iPad Soviet space program
I had a couple of questions/issues regarding the Soviet side in the Race to the Moon. 1) Why doesn't the docking between the Soyuz spacecraft and the lunar lander count as "Docking in Space" for the "Goals Comparison" in the Public Affairs Office or in the summary at the game end...

Re: General Stats is clearly confused
Sorry, no. Just the iPad version (and I think it rocks!). Looks to me like a simple "copy and paste" error. The same problem crops up when I play the Russkies. The data in the Flight Controller (or perhaps SET) field is reproduced for Astronauts instead of getting the right data. I'm backi...

General Stats is clearly confused
Playing on an iPad running OS 7.x End of game "General Stats" screen shows that I have 18 active astronauts - this is odd since I have only ever had 7. I only have enough stable space for 7. Suspiciously, or perhaps unrelated, I *do* have 18 Flight Controllers. End of game "General St...
