Ok,. Update.
I have re-installed twice.
I was playing earlier and I built a ship and I said..hey, let's do a test.
I tried to save the game...and BAMMO...crashed out to the launcher.
Now this IS a better result then hitting 'resume' game which hangs the program completely.

False enthusiasm.
It seemed that it was working. And well I got further along than before.
But eventually it did crash again.
Grrrrr...
I'm gonna go back and double check everything again.

This game used to run and play just fine. Recently, I can run the game, get to playing for maybe 5-10 minutes and then it just crashes back to the launcher.
