Re: Windows 10?
I have the old version of the game that still requires the disc to be in the drive to operate the game, but it runs just fine on Windows 10.

Re: Finding the manual on Legion Arena
Thank you for that. I have the OLD game, that still requires the disc to be in the drive for the game to work. Nevertheless, I shall look at what you just wrote when I can. Right now I am trying to change history with the Punic Wars on Legion Gold.

Yes. Velites, procedit! means, Velites, march! Hio Imperator is simply saying Hail Emperor.

Re: Anyone Still Playing Legion?
How does one MOD Legion Gold? I have the disc version of the Game. It requires that the disc actually be in the disc drive in order to play the game. I also have Legion Arena (NOT the Gold version), and it too requires a disc. So how would one proceed to mod either game? Right now I am playing Legio...

Finding the manual on Legion Arena
Can anyone help me find a manual for Legion Arena? The tiny sheet was only for installation. Plus, can anyone tell me, is this game as historically accurate as Legion Gold/History Great Empires Rome?

Re: The Historical Accuracy of History Great Empires Rome.
There is ONE way the game could perhaps have been improved upon, and that is the battle sequences. As everyone here knows, once you press go, then you've got no control, and one side or other WILL be slaughtered, and you had better just pray that its them! And sometimes the AI will make YOUR army do...

Re: The Historical Accuracy of History Great Empires Rome.
And another question, since I've got you here. I am a university professor (adjunct) and I am writing a book that I hope will be published and used as a textbook in the history of the Holy Roman Empire (viz, Medieval Germany). But to fully talk about the history of the HOLY Roman Empire of the Germa...

I looked that up, and they were made for the PC. I don't have one at the moment. Mine crashed. I am using a tablet for my computer needs. Can the games be adapted to that?

Re: The Historical Accuracy of History Great Empires Rome.
How can I get hold of these others? Were they made for the DS? Incidentally, to my non-admin readers, I am guessing the reason for only being able to hold one game in Save was due to memory issues. Ian, would that be anywhere near accurate?

The Historical Accuracy of History Great Empires Rome.
Hey, everyone. Just thought I'd put in my two (American) cents. I have a Master's Degree in History, and of course studied some Roman History getting it. About two and a half to three years ago I picked up the game title for the NDS mentioned in the subject line. The guy at GameStop evidently had no...

Re: what is your opinion of the game Legion??
City management is complex, as are diplomatic relations. You have to be able to build armies, maintain cities (and ultimately, the entire Empire), establish relations (peace, alliances, war) with opposing nations (and there tend to be about 20-30 of those per scenario in 6 different scenarios), and ...

Re: what is your opinion of the game Legion??
Having never played Legion itself, I can't speak for it directly. But I LOVE History Channel Great Empires Rome for the NDS, which seems to duplicate what I have read sbout Legion to the point that it could almost be called a port of Legion, minus the fantasy continent.

Re: Unification of Italy: Strategy/Tactics????
OK. I have been playing History Channel: Great Empires Rome, the conquest of Italy scenario as the Romans. This is on the NDS handheld. Until now, EVERY time I played this game I got my tail stomped in any scenario. But now I happen to be reading a book on Roman history to augment my knowledge for a...
