After a bit of playing around, it seems the problem might be with the location of the screen press detection. I seem to be able to select the buttons by pressing else where on the screen. Weird and the game is unplayable.

Exactly the same problem here iPad 1 version 5.1.1

Slow red line then loads main menu page but non of the buttons can be pressed. Have been patient but still nothing can be activated. Have rebooted, no joy.
