Single player button not working

When the intro screen appears all buttons work but I am unable to launch Single Player.
Any Help somebody?

Had game crash in midway scenario, white carriers where fleeing. I clicked on the end turn and the AI took 10 minutes to finish the turn and then crashed the game.
