Well I just tried to patch Ageod's Napoleon's Campaigns only to find browsers don't like FTP and zip files. so I tried a new install on a Windows 11 pro machine and it wouldn't work. I too am getting the hint that it is almost game over for me. ==== Anyway I came across this which is where I started...

I changed one getdiff setting but it seemed to make no difference - I still got hammered by epirus in 4 turns.

Well I've finally got a victory as Rome with 1.03.

It was on Easy though.

The dice must have run for me, but thousands died in the previous attempts. Time now to read the manual and try a main campaign.

I agree with you Bombax.

I'm sick of losing the Epirus short scenario in four or five turns and that's on Easy.

Easy or very east if there were such a thing should give you a draw even if you do nothing.

But the "Hard men" like to show how brilliant their minds are......
