Slitherine

Hi,
most of the time (but not everytime) when uploading game data, nothing happens. I finish my turn, it says uploading game data for about 30 seconds and then it says getting games and I'm back where I started. I have tried turning of the firewall (standard windows 10 firewall), adding the game to the firewall exceptions, turning off the virus scanner (standard windows 10), moving from WifI to cable etc. Nothing helps. No matter the configuration, sometimes I can submit a turn, most of the time I cannot.That aside I have no issues with any other game or software whatsoever. Any ideas? Thanks!

As you probably already know, the problem is shown here. However, I don't know/understand why it happens. Sorry.

Kind of interesting that it does not happen all the time though.

if you have installed the game as admin, onto a fully admin enabled pc, not a client or plain user, installing and running as admin on windows 10 sets up the correct file permissions to run and write to the game folder, the temp folder and upwards to the server, without this, it's a permissions error.

if your on a work pc and not the admin, it doesn't work
if your on a home pc, but not the admin, it doesn't work
if you don't right click and install and run as admin, on some pc's it doesn't work.

so if you have installed as default, eg not changed the default installation, and not tried to run it off a external drive and ran and installed as admin, there should be no issues with the game with no 3rd party apps and programs running

I've got an admin account so that cannot be the issue. I've installed the game through steam (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Panzer Corps) so I don't know what happens in that case. I would have assumed that that is an "admin" install?

no, you have to manually run steam and then the game as admin
you only have to do it once, then it will run and work every time the same

I've setup steam as required. Have deleted Panzer Corps and all its folders, have reinstalled it with the admin rights etc. to no avail. Is it somehow possible that changing my password has created the issue?

Password can trigger issues but then usually always/at every login and you won't be able to login or don't see any challenges (from my experience) and you may even get an error code back...

I have exactly the same problem and I didn't change the password. I also have admin permissions.
Most of the time when I click the play button I got the downloading message forever.
Any thoughts?
