Retreat for no reason

I started a new Roman campaign, and replaced all of the starting troops with one Velites and 3 militia squads. In the first battle against the stubborn farmers, I had just about reached the needed kills, and had taken about 1 or 2 casualties in total, when my entire army broke and ran simultaneously for no apparent reason. I replayed the scenario, and again, as soon as the Velites unit ran out of ammo, the entire army fled without any of the units being damaged. The third time, I sat and watched to be sure that there was nothing I hit by accident, and that NONE of the units had taken more than a casualty or two, and the Legate was uninjured. I started a new campaign, and later tried to recreate the bug, with no success. I wonder if having the ranged unit in #1 spot had any bearing on it?

Very strange. If you can get a saved game where you can repeat the problem it would be very useful to help us track this down. It's probably a random bug which is a symptom of some other problem.
