Hi guys
new beta version available. See the top thread to download.
Change in v1.05v2
- This version should read all saves created by beta1, as well as DLC3 saves created with earlier 1.04 beta.
- French briefings fixed.
- German and French eqp localization files included in the build.
- Saved games should now gracefully switch between languages. This means that the same saved game will show different strings (tile names, unit names, objectives etc.) depending on the user's selected languages. Of course, this feature is important mostly in MP games. In SP you normally use just one language.
- Also in PBEM screen every player should see scenario names and sides in his local language.
- In PBEM screen available challenges are now sorted in reverse order, which means newer challenges on top.
- New MP maps are moved to the top of selection list.
- Updates in the 4 new and 2 old MP maps from Kerensky
- Further tweaks in eqp file

I just reached the Wassigny Scenario in 1940. I hope I can bring my non-beta core to the 1942 Beta.
Ah well let's take a look at the tweaks in the .eqp file.
I wonder if the T-34 became a bit more tank and got some extra GD.

Mine has the correct date Nov25th in the main screen but says beta 2
Should it not say beta 3 since we changed to DLC3?

The main beta version is beta 2, the DLC is v3 but DLC's dont show a version number anywhere.

I thought DLC3 was code for GC '41 being that it is the third DLC to be released (DLC1 = GC '39, DLC2 = GC '40) and beta2 meant the second beta of DLC3 v1.05.

Beta2 (1.05v2) is not related with DLC but with future 1.05 update for Panzer Corps.
All of use are testing two different things:
-DLC 41
-1.05 update

It is a bit confusing, we are now testing 1.05 patch (that will be available as a free download, as usual), and GC '41 content pack in parallel, and both will be released together in the beginning of December. 1.05 beta2 is the version of the patch - it is the second beta version we've made available. For GC '41 it is technically also the second beta (a week ago we did not update it), but this is not shown anywhere. Probably we should add DLC version indication in the future.

Special thanks for this. I haven't played the beta since the last update because I'd have to start over, and I play pretty slowly. Also, been a bit distracted by Skyrim...

My report on 1.05v2 and changes to the 41 DLC:
-> good that the Panzer IVF got GD tuned down to 11 and the T-34 up to 12.
-> captured T-34 have still the old values, they didn't get upgraded. But this was before the patch, don't know if newly captured T-34 also still have the old values. This might apply to all other captured units, maybe they got forgotten when changing the equip files. I also want to point out that the captured German Somua S35 of the 40 DLC is way smaller than the french version.
-> Battleship "Marat" in Leningrad, nice! Hans-Ulrich Rudel won't sink it this time but Ju88's.
-> why is there a captured Matilda II (e) in the Demyansk scenario as aux unit?
Won't have time for really playing, sorry, but checked some changes and so on. It's looking very good in general.

What about the KV-2? It is way under powered now. No benefit in buying it.

Captured T34/40 and 41 should have same values as standard Russian units. I just checked them starting a new game, and they are a match. Remember that save files store old equipment files.
Demyansk was made a little bit harder so I added in a Matilda II AUX (slow high defense strong defensive unit) to help the player out. Expect to see more of this in the future, old 'captured' equipment showing up here and there as AUX forces.
KV2 is a 1941 unit. Its stats are pretty close to the KV1a so it's price is also close to the KV1. For a 1941 unit it still has unmatched SA and GD. But of course it's not worth buying in 1942 and onwards.
