Core units have a prominent gold border, aux units have a reduced grey border. Are you still having difficulties with this after the latest change?

It's one of the reasons I favored using images in the tutorial popups. I can't actualy recall in what message core/aux difference is being explained, but visualising it is always better than explaining it in text.

Got it. Dont know why I missed that in the new notes. I will say though, its very subtle....maybe too subtle

Well, it was a lot worse before than it is now. I thought the method in PG of changing the background colour of the strength value worked pretty good for most cases, and prevented all the squinting.

PG changed the number colour and we use that for suppression which is really useful.

The suppression colors are a great idea, but I agree that core units could stand out a bit more. The objectives are easy to find now, maybe the gold core borders could be a little bigger.

Are you looking at RC2 - it really is quite different between core & Aux units now.

There are problems identifying the difference between CORE and AUX units on the strategic map.

No, the tacticle map on RC2. Lets put it this way, the gold border is there, I guess I have too look close to see the grayish border of the aux units.

I guess my contrast is off since it's not always obvious at first. Back in PG2 one didn't even have to take a second to spot it, things were obvious if it was Aux or not.

At least it's a little better than before. On a side-note, I'm running at the highest res so that's probably having another negative effect on spotting the differences.

The difference before last version was quite ok for me (better than month-two ago).

And personally, in RC2 the border is so thick that I am starting to think that it is quite (too) heavy now.
No problems telling those two types of units apart :) .
