I have a desktop and a laptop computer. I updated to the desktop to V1.4 but I am unable to update the laptop using the in game updater. . The message to clipboard is as follows:

Try connecting the lap top to the internet using a cable, or at the very least most it close to the wireless router. This will ensure a more reliable connection of any large downloads.

Still unable to update. Tried close to the wireless router and a direct connection to the router. The detailed info from the updater is below. Any other ideas?

Are there any other ideas on how to resolve this?

Two things are happening. Firstly, your HTTP transfers are being interrupted part-way. This suggests your internet connection might not quite be 100% reliable. The updater should cope with this, however, and it is trying to resume the download from where it left off. But, when resuming, it gets socket error 1, which is a permissions error.

To help us figure out why this is happening, please let us know:
Where is the game installed - in /Applications folder, or in /Users/username/Applications?
Do you always run the game while logged on under the same username?
Is the user account that you're using to run the game an Admin?
