point value of mounted swordsmen?

In the point value chart, the value of a mounted soldier who is melee pistol equipped is 2 points, and if a mounted swordsmen in melee is also 2 points. However I feel this is wrong. Usually if the troop type has an advantage it costs more than another equal troop or if there is a disadvantage they cost less. For example Musketeers who are part of a Pike and Shot unit (and thus capable of being protected in open ground by a Pike element) cost 1 point more per stand than a unit of entirely shot (except for commanded shot). In the case of ECW Royalist Horse for example you can be Impact Pistol/Melee Pistol or Impact Pistol/Swordsmen The point values are equal. However a swordsman in melee gets no POA against spearmen (like the naked Irishmen he may fight), while the Melee Pistol does get a POA, and he gets no POA in a cavalry melee unless in impact he caused his opponent to become disrupted.
This last is important since with two opponents impacting with Pistols, would you rather have a POA each round until you become disrupted, or no POA unless you can disrupt the other guy. I think I'd rather have the POA from the get go.
So I think mounted melee swordsmen should be one point less, IMHO.
