Weird Unit Position and Actions

OK, there's a whole bunch of weird stuff going on here. I suspect it is a result of an update failure. Yesterday (I think) I made my moves but couldn't upload to the server - I think it was my network problem, not the Slitherine server, and as a consequence, after I had rebooted my router, I opened the game and nothing had saved, so I had to repeat all my moves.

Anyway here's the 1st problem: Notice the top 2 larger circles... if you look carefully in the right circle you will see a disrupted Pergamene MF occupying the same hex as my slave MF  If you look vary carefully at the left circle there is a slave slinger unit in the same hex as the routed Pergamene MF (you can only really see the base colouring of the slinger)

The second problem: The Pergamene Lancers will pass directly through the routing Galatian foot they are adjacent to (see screenshot below), causing the slingers mentioned in problem 1 to evade out of the routing MF.

The third problem: The Pergamene Cretan Archers (circled) are going to move to the hex marked with the X, which is adjacent to 2 slave MF and then fire with the bow! (see screenshot below)

I haven't made my moves yet, it's in my My Turn folder (Spartacus Slaves vs Ironclad) - I'll give the devs a chance to have a look at the game.

Has/is anyone going to look at this?

Just let me know when I can continue to play the game.

Thanks,
Morbio

Thanks for reporting this, I've got the game.

Strangely, when I view your game, the situation I see is very similar but not identical -- basically without the errors.

I assume that you're in version 1.2.6.

Can you confirm at what point you took each of the screenshots: before, during or after the replay?

Before you play your turn, please can you try opening the game again, and let me know whether those two MF are still superimposed? Also, I'd be interested to know whether it's the same if you don't view the replay.

I am using 1.2.6.

I took the screenshots during replays (it took about 6 or 7 replays in total - they all did the same each time).

I'm at work at the moment :( but I'll check when I get home.

Yes, the units are still superimposed when viewed in the replay.

They aren't in 'No replay' simply because they move or are forced to evade. However, the MF just above and adjacent to the enemy Cretan Archer unit appears just like in the last screenshot above, i.e. it is there but the arrow is greyed out so it can't attack. It's almost as if it is there from a display perspective, but not from a play perspective.

I suspect that when the upload failed, and I was forced to replay my moves (I couldn't do exactly the same ones because some were dependent on battle results... which weren't exactly the same), then the resulting image dataset is a sum of the 2 sets of moves .

If you want me to mail you any files then just let me know. I'll hold of moving anything until you tell me that you've got all the information you need.

Thanks for all the help.

EricS: Do you need anything else from the server game or my files or can I continue to play the game?

Thanks for the help,

Continue playing, thanks for reporting it. We don't have a solution yet, but hopefully it will be solved as part of some upcoming tweaks to rout/evade/pursuit in time for Immortal Fire.
(In principle it shouldn't be possible for this problem to be caused by a failed upload, but I'll bear that in mind as a possibility.)
