Is there such a list? I think it would contain Almughvars . . .
Thanks!

Hi ,
check it better please take your time ;
have a look on the saracen foot ;
try to do two or three lists, play with it and after ask us ( if if you want :wink: ) what you think of this list ;
furthermore the bonus is that the troops are very morphable;
for me , it 's a tournament tiger Army and a colorfoul Army a mix of Christian and Muslim troops very interesting to read his Hitory before playing it ;
have a nice day

Kind Regards

I think it is strongest in the pre-Almughavar period with a mix of Knights, LH and Islamic infantry.

perhaps because...

Knights are relatively expensive, as are Almughavar foot, and so you end up with a small army if you take quite a few of both. More to the point, though, the Almughavars and knights can't be in battle lines together, and delivering them into the enemy army side by side risks the almughavars getting overlapped should the knights break off.

Pfffttt...
Can't say I'm overwhelmed exactly.

The Knights & almughavars 8)

The Saracen Light Horse is all good stuff, but you can't have them & the Almughavars, so they're out.

The Saracen Close fighters are good for looking after duff terrain as Med. Foot, but I wouldn't trust them to last for long in the open

And Defensive Sp however well armoured I just dislike as a matter of principle, since they're not good for attacking with.

Which leaves assorted Xbows & Archers. Yay? :roll:

Not sure there is a tournament tiger in there, but certainly a pretty decent army (at least in the late Norman and Hohenstaufen incarnations, less sure about the Aragonese period). It sure is a colourful and somewhat romantic army choice and since I've a weak spot for Friedrich II anyway... :)

1. Small armies are good check out the army that one Britcon Quality IMO counts in FOG for a lot.
2. Not being able to form a battle line well you can't do that with any other mounted and foot except Lights.

Curious, where do you get the Superior MF from? It's obviously not Almughavars but there is no other Superior Foot in that list.
