WTC25 ROUND 2 TEAM SCORES AND STANDINGS

With three wins and with seven bonus points from the four games they have reported Armchair Heroes have (uncharatersitically?) leapt from eight to second closing the gap with the top two who report one win each.
In the struggle between the top two an additional bonus point in Zhu Que's win means they get a single point closer to leaders Furor Gallico.
Trans Atlantic's win lifts them above Comites and Ursa Major and onto the same game points as the Kiwis but adrift on damage difference.

Now with five wins and a couple more bonus points from six games they have reported Armchair Heroes continue a stratospheric rise and are above Zhu Que and just below Furor Gallico. The latter of course have games to finish with no change yet since the 4th.
Trans Atlantic remain above Comites and Ursa Major and onto the same game points as the Kiwis but adrift on damage difference. However all these teams with the Kiwis and L'épée have been leapfrogged by The Charmers who, have posted four big bonus wins.
Desperta Ferro and Legio Cincinnata both improve their positions with one and two wins respectively.

Another team post five wins in a few days and so Desperta Ferro rocket up the rankings.
Armchair Heroes remain second above Zhu Que but Furor Gallico's wins open up a bigger gap between themselves and both The Armchairs and their current opponents Zhu Que with a couple more wins. All the top three have two games left to finish.
Fourth and Fifth positions change as Desperta Ferro bring their win total to 5/5 and now sit just above The Charming Champions on a 12 point better damage difference.
Although Furor have opened up a 19 point lead and have the advantage it is not an overwhelming lead. Wins for Zhu Que and Armchair Heroes in their remaining games would narrow the gap. It is also possible for Desperta, and The Charming Champians to narrow the gap considerably and even for L'Epee to possibly overtake Furor if all their remaining Round 2 games were wins. So; although 30 points separate Furor from sixth place any of the teams in second to sixth place remain in contention with Furor in Round 2.

It is then very tight as sixth to eleventh places are separated by just six points. Comites and Ursa are locked in an even struggle giving them both points but Boudica's have risen to just below both with four consecutive wins. L'Epee and Kiwis have only one reported game but the win for L'Epee moves them to top of this tight bunch while Kiwis are in tenth, on equal points with Trans Atlantic who are suffering from The Armchair's winning streak. Meanwhile The Knights, Wargaming Club 1 and Lupi Belli remain stranded, also suffering from their opponents success. Legio Cincinnata moved up with their first two results but there are six more to come in that match.

Five and a half days to end of round

All could change and all did.
If anything, if possible it is even closer.
Zhu Que post a victory against Furor and climb back to third after a few hours in fourth place, Furor have one more game to where a win would ensure they keep the lead at end of round 2. Zhu Que were temporarily displaced from second by L'Epee who have 3/4 wins vs the Kiwis. Big bonus wins in the last four games could put L'Epee above Furor if Furor lose their last, the L'Epee only team that can catch Furor in Round 2.
Desperta Ferro post a sixth win making 6/6 and rise again but follow L'Epee.
Armchair Heroes remain second above Zhu Que and Furor Gallico's loss means they move no further ahead. All the top three have one game left to finish.
Comites and Ursa are the first teams to finish their round 2 games and what a struggle. They finish almost all even separated by one game point and very very few damage points. They cannot play each other again - which may be a relief.
Desperta Ferro bring their win total to an impressive 6/6; so move up again and now sit just above Ursa on a large 104 point better damage difference. With two games to finish and their current winning streak they could easily reach third place. The Charming Champians have their first loss and remain in 8th but with three games to complete may move on up again. There are only 8 points to third place so all teams above 8th can contend for Round 3 leadership.
Similarly just one good bonus win separates Boudica's in 9th from the Champians and one good bonus win between Boudic's 9th place and Trans Atlantic in 13th.

As all four bottom teams have games to finish the placings here are all uncertain and all can improve their standings dramatically.

Points are so tight each result is changing positions often quite dramatically.
All can still change; 16 games to report and five and a half days to round completion.

Changes continue and, incredibly, postions become closer again with the gap between top and bottom of table narrowing.
Zhu Que post their last round 2 game as another victory against Furor arresting their upward movement. So the big two finish their match 5 wins for Furor to 3 wins for Zhu Que. Zhu Que still drop to 4th place though. The Charming Champians last three games being big bonus wins bouncing them from 8th to 2nd.
With one game to report The Armchair heroes could leapfrog The Charming Champians again or see Trans Atlantic move back up into the congested middle.
Both L'Epee's and Desperta's upwards trajectories stumbled at the end of the round with late defeats .
They now remain in the very tightly bunched 4th to 10th positions with the Laser Kiwis, the apparently inseparable Comites and Ursa and Boudica's at the tail. Boudica's could make this bunching tighter again or the group may yet be joined by one or both of Trans Atlantic and the Knights Who Say 'Ni' depending on the last results.

Positions 13 to 16 are now fixed so Round 3 matches 7 and 8 will be a Wargaming Club derby and Lupi Belli taking on Legio Cincinnata. No other round 3 matches are yet decided.

The last two games have been completed and a large bonus win for The Armchair Heroes lifts them to second place while three points for The Knights and one for Boudica's move both closer into the congested middle.

There were no unfinished games and no adjudications necessary.
