Assign Light Troops to a leader?

What are the pros and cons of assigning light troops to a leader in the deployment phase, as opposed to leaving them unassigned?
There are no cons. The pro is that you can put the subgeneral they are assigned to on them for better rally chance, useful in the early stages when the skirmishers are engaged but the main lines have yet to make contact. Of course you don't want to put them on a light unit actually at risk of being broken, just those disrupted ones that you shunt behind the line to safety while you wait for them to rally.Redpossum wrote: Thu May 18, 2023 4:10 pm What are the pros and cons of assigning light troops to a leader in the deployment phase, as opposed to leaving them unassigned?
What about command and the free turn business. There are no cons.
Free turn I believe is provided by any friendly general not in combat whose command range a unit is in.Jagger2002 wrote: Thu May 18, 2023 5:34 pmWhat about command and the free turn business. There are no cons.
