If the time difference between us is not too big, so we can play at least 4-5 turns per day, I'm in. I'm from Germany: UTC +1.

I'm GMT +7 at the moment, so 5 hours later than you. I'm free most of the day tomorrow and Xmas day as well

I can connect without problems both with the standard and modded version of the game.
Have you been able to connect to the server before?

I did register, I needed to do that to download. I linked it to my steam. Would it help if I install on steam and play from there?

If you use the ingame chat window make sure the text you enter does not exceed the width of the message box, else the game will crash for some reason.
The ingame chat is really only usable for short messages.

@anyone reading this thread: the issue was (probably?) fixed long ago, so don't have the wrong impression that this mod is still suffering from the issue that was posted here. Instead the mod is suffering from all-new and never-seen-before issues since the last post. 
But seriously: the mod is quite stable now, so don't be afraid to join the project.
