Questions about: incorrect armament ++ historical unit inspector ++ game-y OOBs

Hello there!
This really seems like a perfect hex-game for me. Way more mature and detailed than Panzer Corps 2 and imo even has better graphics, e.g. when it comes to wreckages on the battlefield.
However, before I buy into this game I have 3 questions regarding things that really interfere with my immersion of the game:
1. I've just played the trial mission of the Sandstorm campaign and I was appalled when the L6/40 tank shot with a normal caliber tankgun of that era (45mm). It should have a 20mm Breda 35 gun. Strangely enough, that same gun is already in the game in the same mission as an AA gun.
In the very same scenarios, the Panzerwagen II has a correct 20mm Geschütz though which makes the whole affair even stranger. The actual weapons AND the sounds and animations are already in the game.
The tank's picture also clearly shows a 20mm gun.
And yet, the L6/40 has the wrong gun (and hence the wrong sound and animation).
2. Which brings me to the next question which might be interrelated with question 1.
Am I correct to understand that there is no unit inspector in-game that shows you which armaments a unit has? Despite my smart assing above, I don't know much about the weaponry of WWII and I would love to have the possibility to look that up while I am in the game.
3. I've read some reviews about the DLCs and some say that the scenarios are very inaccurate when it comes to the actual OOB (what an irony!).
E.g. Japan fights you with miraculous weaponry that is on par with German 1945 gear, and Operation Bagration only gives you a few units.
Would you say that this critique is somewhat justified?
