The move to the first dot costs 8 MP.

But moving one more diagonal would only cost 2 additional MP.

Neither makes sense. If someone can explain.

The first move requires you to turn. In the second, as the game only takes starting and ending alignment into account, you're not spending AP on a turn

So there is no possibility to keep your orientation when you move to the first dot; you are forced to do a turn; if you move farther, then you don’t have to turn even though you are still passing through that first dot. That’s inconsistency or needlessly technical.

In this second case: If you will put any unit in first dot, yours cavalry will move 2 dots and turn in correct way.
Thats just some technical issues, that you should know. Thats the way the scripts are made. You get used to it.

Why not improve them instead?
