The new update .20 wont install...no problems before now...maybe there is a different link to try installing it from???...I am trying to install from the game itself...HELP!

I was able to get it to install from the Slitherine site, but now the game will not play. No matter what scenario I choose it crashes almost immediately. I sent in a bug fix ticket so hope it is an easy fix.

Do you have a standalone version, or Steam/GOG? What exactly do you mean by "trying to install from the game itself"?

I did not save the screen shot, I sent it in to the Unreal Engine people. All three times I opened the game it crashed, first time I was trying to load my current game, the second time I tried to choose a new campaign to see if that worked and the last time I picked the new DLC I just bought today. Insta-kill and then that Unreal Engine thing popped up asking me to send them the report with a ton of lines of code. I do hope they are not hackers because you asking me for screen shots after I supposedly sent in requests for fixes is not making me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Alternatively, PM me your Windows username, and I'll try to locate your reports in the database.

This happened about 3-4 minutes ago, so whatever it is still is not fixed.

Thanks for posting this log. This seems to be a bug in Unreal Engine introduced in version 4.26 (which 1.1.20 uses). We are investigating and looking for possible solutions. In the mean time, could you please make sure that all you drivers (especially the video card) are up to date? If they are not the most recent, try to update them, it might resolve this issue.

Also, could you please try to launch the game with command line parameter -dx12? This will force Unreal Engine to run the game using DirectX 12 instead of 11. Will it run any better in this mode?

OK...I got it to install but now there is a new problem...I am getting the same problem as tigertiger 007 is receiving....it ran perfectly for a while with the new update and 1941 game added...HELP!!...i DONT KNOW HOW TO UPDATE MY DRIVERS AS SUGGESTED..

Jonesy, it is not the drivers, at least it was not for me. My drivers are all up to date and my game still crashes. I think it is something else. Every update I have had problems, it is frustrating not being able to play a game.

So, have you tried to launch the game with command line switch -dx12 as I suggested above? This key tells the game to run using DirectX 12 instead of the default 11. Will it work any better then?

I tried that, a bunch of flashes of giant squares of various colors pretty much made the game unplayable but I finished the scenario and at the end of the scenario my old friend Unreal Engine crash came back... so the fix only made it worse, and still engine crashed. I spend so much time fixing this game I should get paid as a programmer. What is your next suggestion?

You can check and see if you have it already installed by going to here: From the Start menu, select Settings, and then Control Panel. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon. Then scroll down until you see Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable. If it is there you already have it. If not you have to download it.
