Close match where Vikings pushed over the stream on their left as Germans moved more forces forward on their right. Germans held cavalry on their far right as the Viking centre moved to pressure the German centre which was fewer in heavy infantry as they had brought a lot of archers. Viking centre absorbed some missiles, but were able to engage in melee in good order. German cavalry charged skirmisher units, but couldn't disrupt the Viking infantry on contact and got stuck in the melee. Viking right was under pressure, but units managed to hold against the dismounted lancers long enough to allow them to gain an advantage in numbers. GG

Ptolems made for a direct engagement with their elite legionaires and pike--charging straight at the elamites. initially it looked good for them...rolling over everything the elamites had to offer. but as things spread out the elamites picked away at the edges and found a few gaps. with plenty of open space it was a charioteer's dream

with regret, carpenkm claims the game against yinsd00. no move and no contact since before 3 March.
