Pool A: 22/30 matches complete
Things have changed drastically since last formal update. Cavehobbit (7-0-1-21) officially clinched a playoff spot. Greetings44 (6-0-3-18) has jumped to second after a shocking sweep of Rexhurley (3-0-5-9) who is now out of contention for playoffs. Greetings44's lead is by no means secure as CharlesWayneRobinson (5-0-1-15) still has 4 games to go, 2 against newcomer Mike48 and 2 against top-ranked Cavehobbit.

Pool B: 26/30 matches complete
Stockwellpete (5-2-3-20) clinched a playoff spot after splitting his series with Macsen (4-0-2-12) who is making his long-awaited push for the playoffs. All remaining games involve Macsen who must win 3 of 4 matches or win 2 of 4 and defeat Maximvs (4-1-3-13) at least once to overtake Voskarp (5-2-3-17) and claim the last playoff spot. Maximvs could also qualify if he manages to sweep Macsen.

Pool C: 16/30 matches complete
Not a lot of activity although a now-corrected result gives ZumHeuriger (4-0-2-12) the points he deserves at the expense of Steve-h8 (6-0-2-18) who more than made up for them with 2 wins over Mchargmg (1-0-3-3). ZumHeuriger has advanced to third place after 2 wins over Mcfcivo (0-0-4-0).

Pool D: 23/30 matches complete
Jonathan4290 (9-0-0-27) defeated the remaining playoff contenders to remain undefeated. Batesmotel's (5-0-3-15) remaining matches against Iandavidsmith (2-0-1-6) are crucial in deciding who will advance to the playoffs. Iandavidsmith may be in tough as he has yet to play an away match.

All pools are well on pace to complete their matches on time, even Pool C which is lagging only comparatively. Great work guys.

Pool B result

macsen (Late Republican Roman (Brutus and Cassius)) 36/43 defeated Maximvs (Later Carthaginian (Africa)) 49/47

Maximvs bought lots of elephants and the Romans ran from them and fell on the medium foot on the Carthaginian right only to have cavalry intervene. A swirling fight ensued with heavy casualties on both sides. The legionaries turned and faced the pursing spears and elephants, who looked like pin cushions by this point, and managed to survive while the Armenians performed a fighting withdrawal on their right.

macsen (Later Carthaginian (Africa))22/48 defeated Maximvs (Late Republican Roman (Brutus and Cassius)) 43/43

Got the map with two ridges and a stream inbetween. Perfect for the Carthaginians. On my left I attacked across the stream with the Gauls and destroyed some light spears but it never turned into the flanking maneuver I hoped thanks to one cav unit. On the other wing attacked some medium offspears in the wood and routed them with a combination of cav and impact foot, Gauls and Spaniards. Then had a staring contest with the Armenians across the river, cats just don't like water. In the middle the Legionaries crossed the stream only to be repulsed from the ridge with heavy losses, the Veteran Spears being deadly to the average legions.

Pretty sure I should be on lost 7 won 1 now, with just two games left vs mchargmg, both in progress.

Cavehobbit (8-1-1-25) clinches first place with a win and draw over CharlesWayneRobinson (5-1-2-16), who can clinch a playoff spot if he manages to sweep Mike48 (0-0-4-0). Greetings44 (6-0-3-18) is also in contention for a playoff spot with a game against Mike48 outstanding.

Pool B: 28/30 matches complete
Macsen (6-0-2-18) clinched a playoff spot after sweeping Maximvs (4-1-5-13) who is now out of contention. Macsen can now overtake Stockwellpete (6-2-2-20) with at least 1 win over Ricoual74 (3-1-4-10).

Pool C: 18/30 matches complete
Not a lot to report here. Kmaher (1-0-3-3) and Mchargmg (1-0-3-3) split their series; they are both still in contention but have a long way to go against Steve-h8 (6-0-2-18), Turk1964 (5-0-1-15) and ZumHeuriger (4-0-2-12).

Pool D: 25/30 matches complete
Iandavidsmith (3-0-2-9) posted a win and a loss to remain in contention for a playoff spot. His 2 remaining matches against Batesmotel (5-0-3-15) remain key in deciding who takes second place in the pool and faces Cavehobbit next round.

Pool A rexhurley v mike48 unfortunately mike's lack of experience show allowing me to break through into his rear in both games then promptly run around killing him, to his credit though he didn't complain once and will indulge in some traingin with me over the break.

Seasons compliments to you all and thanks Jonathan while the dice deserted me against three of my opponents good config for an event and hopefully we will see many more please make me an auto entry if you do!
