Yamato`40 will be the last part of the Yamato core campaign series this year for the time being.
But I still have two fictional ones (Australia, Vladivostok) in the plan and if there is still some time left, possibly a US campaign as part of the Cartwheel operation. Let's see how it goes this year.
I can't promise anything!

Will you be turning them into a Grand Campaign with paths and core saves?

Like its predecessors, Yamato`40 will be a standalone campaign with 10 missions.
In the future (sometime) I will create a big connected campaign from 37,38,39 and 40 which will have some changes (a single general at the beginning to the end, not so many additional units with heroes etc.) and will mainly take place only in China and end in 1945. A few missions will be dropped, but a few new ones will be added. I left out the part about the Pacific because I realized that there is enough material on this topic and I can't do it differently or better.
But that doesn't exclude me from creating a fictional (Australia) or mini-campaign for the Pacific here and there.

Hello,
I am hereby publishing a new mini-campaign of mine. It was actually only meant for my own amusement, but I got it out of my archive and edited it so that I can publish it. Briefings,
translation and other small changes.
It's about the last successful armoured battles of the German Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front from February-April 1945.
I call it ‘Lost Victories’ and it has 6 missions from Stargard to Lauban to Bautzen.

In reality, the Australians did not have much to oppose the Japanese invasion. ‘Rabaul was only occupied by a small Australian unit, the Lark Force under the command of Colonel John Joseph Scanlan, with around 1,400 soldiers. In addition, there were the crews and maintenance units of the ten Wirraway fighter planes of the Royal Australian Air Force stationed there. Two sea-based cannons and three anti-aircraft guns were available for defence’ (Wikipedia)

The campaign ‘Master of the Sky’ is now available for download.
Short info about it:
6 missions
1943-44
You take over American bomber units and fly missions with them over Norway, Germany and Belgium-Netherlands.

Update: The mission “Bloody Sky” has been reworked by me. The player now only has to neutralize 10 airfields instead of twelve.
The “Master of Sky” campaign can now be downloaded and added.

Hello Tobi,
i have just finished the yamato 37 campaign and it is a so good work! (like all others campaigns) i did'nt find any bug or even any caussing frustation scenario/event .The design is excellent, the player feel that you always let a possibility to win at the end even with a bad start . (The historical precisions are pure delight too )
so excited to begin yamato 38 ! Huge thanks !

Hi Jeffoot
I'm really glad you're enjoying the campaign.
I hope you continue to have fun and of course not every mission is historically accurate, but I hope that doesn't spoil the fun too much. And as soon as the summer break is over and I've finished my other private stuff, I'll continue working on Yamato`40, I'm currently on mission 5-6. An additional innovation will be the use of AI images.
Best regards Tobi.

Nice AI images!
I m working on a map on order of batte and i use AI images too
before continuing yamato 38 , i m plalying your mini campaign Master of sky and as usual, very good first scenario , with many possibilities to achieve goals. u are definitely a very good designer !
just two things that surprised me: first I got tricked on the core units, I thought that all the B17s didn't come back to the next mission so I sacrificed 1 or 2. Why not core units from the start? and second thing, I don't know if it's a bug but when you manage to destroy the secondary objective and the last main objective
in the same turn, the prestige gained is not validated. on the other hand, it is validated when you finish the secondary objective first, wait 1 turn and finish the last main objective. But these are two such small inconveniences!
Sorry for my bad English if it is not clear..
Best regards.

Hi Jeffoot,
I hope I've understood your problem correctly. You definitely have core units in MoS that you can take with you to any other mission.
I wanted to stay as close to the story as possible, so I didn't set up airfields for refuelling in Germany or Norway, for example, but the option to rescue the bombers at the end of the mission via the exit hex at the edge of the map.
Except for the last mission, but it doesn't matter there.

- EXIT.png (559.44 KiB) Viewed 1183 times
The second problem is new to me and I have always received my bonus prestige when eliminating primary and secondary targets in the test, but I didn't pay attention to the order, but apart from that there should be enough prestige, I have pre-programmed that, because the cost of a bomber fleet is enormous.
I hope I was able to help.
Are you French?
Best regards

In the ‘Bloody Sky’ mission, however, you must note that you can only set up your core bombers there once you have achieved air superiority. So first destroy the German fighter units and then a hint will appear that you can deploy your bombers.... press the reserve unit button and the deployment fields will appear on the map.

Thanks for the quick answer !
Yeah, i m french.
Ok, no probleme indeed with the prestige. Just it was strange to begin with all the planes of the last mission as they weren't marked as core units. but this is not a problem when player know it after.
I m only beginning the second mission!
