Typical Slitherine post: start talking about game mecanichs and you'll be talking about cats 2 pages later. Start a topic about cats and you'll end up discussing about angular momentum in a hoplite formation.
Cool it down, guys, it doesn't seem SO important. We're here to discuss Legion Arena (well, mostly,

You are still wrong though.
Have to go.
Agapyte syn-patrioty (translation: My dear countryman),
Efthimie,
As a Macedonian (that you are) you should know better than anyone else, that we..., the Hellenes (Greeks), don't play with HISTORICAL accuracy.
It's not a question of arrogance, but rather a question of pride and honour.
Maybe you are missing away many years from Greece or perhaps...have you become a "Yianitsaros"? LOL
Whatever you say, I know that deep inside you... you know the reality... you just don't want to admit it (in public), which is fine with me...
p.s To anyone who wishes to express a valid opinion: PLEASE use an academic source... (not an INTERNET site or your personal opinion)
Eyharisto poly, (translation: Thank you very much)

We do seem to have trouble staying on topic. Ok, lets make an effort to keep to the subject. If someone has something new to talk about lets start a new thread. There must be a way to split one thread in to two, but I don't know how yet. We'll work out this forum software one day.

Most people who are not greeks have no idea how much insulting the term yianitsaros is for greeks. Pyros if you ever told me this to my face I would show you exactly what I think about you. Respecting the people here I will not reply to that sentence.
As a broader reply about the first part of that sentence, you sound exactly like a greek who has either never been outside Greece or has for some time and spend all his free time with other greeks making fun of other people. Greeks are not in any way the only people who know and like greek history. When others like you were killing, threatening and forcing greeks to change their religion to christianity, where was your lovely honour and pride? Which of course has nothing to the use of the word oplon.
You are arrogant, and you do need lessons in a number of fields, including modesty and accepting others opinions.
When I have been wrong in the past, I have always admitted it. (older members might remember the occasions) You know what, let it be, you want to believe that oplon is the shield, keep on believing (as the song goes). I advice you though to use your brain before your mouth (or in this case your fingers), whenever you try to say anything insulting.
I will not continue this discussion, I apologize to slitherine for this post but when someone calls you something like that it is a bit too much.

OK, lets close this one down. I can't see any good coming from it!
