Tanks cannot see infantry or AT guns in terrain - ever.
I don't know. Often it seems randomly based if I move an infantry NEXT to a tank but still in a forest or house. Often the tank wakes up and senses me there then fires.
It is possible that there was a hidden enemy scout near by that I was not aware of, but I'm not too sure on that.
To be honest, I'm not 100% on some things. If I SNEAK into a closed terrain, I get the cover of that terrain for that turn, but if I just walk normally into that terrain, I get no cover for that terrain for that turn?

Losses through firendly fire works for both sides well!

The tank have a chance to see you if any of its side can see you and he has LOS to your tile. He may choose not to shoot if he can't hurt you, or he may not notice you. Tanks not facing a target have a chance to react to it and if they fail do not notice the unit. Every unit has a different rating for this so infantry are good at reacting to the side & rear. The Matilda was known for poor visibility so has a very low chance to react tot eh sides and none to the rear.
This applies to reacting - in its own turn units can see anything their side can see and shoot at it no matter where it is in relation to them.

uS infantry on open ground firing at german mortar on open grpund at the adjacent square! But germans are undestruckable! Nothing happened! Amo waste! .-)=

Everything is a % chance so any shot can miss. You should see their morale decrease even if you don't kill them. If you reduce morale to 0 and are adjacent they'll surrender. It's much easier to do this than kill everyone.

Normandy campaign last scenario! I have only 1 inf. unit surrendered by german tank and so on! But they are firing to the adjacent square not the on my unit!

as long as i am not firing to the enemy units ai don't search for them on the last 4 turns of the scenario!

at the end of the last normandy scenario german are defeated! because they didn't want to capture the last victory point (without any defensice units!) All the german units stayed there and waited for the end of the scebario!

Bulge scenario the cavalry arrives scenario. at the beginning of the scenario, actually before the beginning on the briefing the three flags on the map are US, but should be german!

My guess is they were ambushed, and so don't know quite where the enemy is.

Hmmm - this could be a problem. Were they all hidden units and the attackers all tanks etc?

Should we say that if the AI has no objective and is not defending and cant see any player units it heads towards the highest threat value on the map, hopefully going to where the player last ambushed from or was last seen? Alternatively move about randomly to try and discover the player?

During the bulge campaign by the 9. scenario at the beginning killed the first enemy unit (puma) got the message "kill 10 units in 5 turns" ?

25 pdr. firing on stug! destroyed at the first shot! by the second shot text appears "suppressed" by the third shot "bailed out!" WHAT NOW?!

desert campaign 1. scenario played italians still speaking german! The info about morale and AP of the enemy units atr still appearing!
