Sorry for the long game!

Both armies entered the battlefield, castialian took the highground, but the portuguese did not take the bait! Both armies drew on each other, and formed battle lines just out of reach. With tensions high, the castilians took to luck, and both armies pressed forward with bolts and arrows ripping the sky.

angusosborne (Anglo-Irish 1415-1500) defeats nonovitch (Scots (Isles and Highlands) 1320-1493) 61-58

A barnstorming game. The battlefield (from the Anglo-Irish side) had a large steep still on the right and the smaller steep hill in the centre, and a small forest on the left.

The Scots Highlanders absolutely crushed the Irish Kerns on the right flank in a very short time, while their heavy foot staged a fierce assault on the Longbowmen holding the hill in the centre. At one point the Scots were one unit away from the 25% margin required to win, but the Longbowmen held the hill and Anglo-Irish heavy foot and knights managed to break the Scots centre and eventually right wing for the narrowest of victories.

Well played match by my opponent. The early Swiss (pikes and halberds) won both matches.

Late but definitely not least! The battle went until the 21st turn, a fight for a hill with much drama and epic combat all around. The portugues pushing first on the right with some cav and ranged units, met with some weltering volleys, early in the match; some disrupted lesser men at arms, though with guts the right pressed forward and slung forward more cav to tie up his troops. As for the battle on the left, there is no way to sugar coat it...mutual destruction, the only winner here are the crows.

angusosborne (Scots (Isles and Highlanders) defeats Nonovitch (Anglo-Irish) 53-9

Score 111-9

This battle had notably the same deployment as it's mirror and again the Highlanders utterly routed Irish Kerns on the Anglo-Irish right flank, but after that was quite different. Both armies were more cautious. After getting to a great early lead the Scots laboriously manoeuvred around both sides of a small central steep hill occupied by Longbowmen behind stakes which I decided was impregnable, eventually attacking the rest of the Anglo-Irish army from both sides. The Anglo-Irish knights both broke through the Scottish lines but only took one unit each and by then the rest of their army was defeated.

angusosborne (Tuareg) defeats Anicydeer533 (Castilian 1476-1497) 41-13

Score 107-13

The Tuaregs used their numbers to outflank both sides of the Castilian line which defended a long slope scattered with rough ground, leading to flank and rear attacks on the Castilians from the outset

Lennard (Granadine) defeats Triarii (Berber) 45-12
Score: 108 - 12

Protected by a large stream the Granadine X-Bows were able the unleash deadly volleys into the Berber Spearmen. Even though the Berber cavalry was in the process of defeating their opposition after they made a dash across the stream, the battle was lost, because too much Berber infantry broke.

Anicydeer Vs Angusosbourne (Tuaregs vs Castille)

Anicydeer Wins - 48-23 - 97 - 23

A battle that wouldn't end. Angus and his Castillian forces defended against a force of Tuaregs. The Tuaregs move for the attack with cavalry on the wings and 2 infantry lines center. The battle was over when the Crossbows in the center began to break and the infantry spread to the flanks. Constant rallies from broken units kept Castille in the battle for longer than it would have normally. But the field eventually became Tuareg.

Division D

edb1815 German Imp. defeats hscic Swiss 63-46

Score 74-46

The Germans managed to get around and behind the Swiss Keils but lost a lot of units grinding them down. Well played by hscic.
