Hello.

I bring some news, unfortunately not as good as I would like.
I intended to release Russia : chapter 3 for late September, but the ammount of time needed for the COIN scenario that I talked last time was underestimated. Severly underestimated. And on the contrary, I was unable to launch Panzer Corps enough to keep the pace.
Worse, I've decided to add a 4th scenario to my initial plan

So, the campaign will be released later.

However, the "star" scenario of this chapter is ready, and I think it deserved the time that I spent to make it.
A little spoiler here : since the next part of my story will be the start of the war in Europe, it was one of my last chance to make a full counter insurgency scenario in my plot, so I gave everything

It still need improvements since my playtests were mainly to check if the balance is good and see if everything works, but aesthetic will be improved in the release version. For example, I used belarussian units to represent Wagner mercenaries or russian command vehicles instead of the usual logistical trucks. It will be fixed in the final version, of course.

Expect deadly ambushes

Image

The rebels are confident and will not hesitate to besiege your bases. Reinforce them if needed

Image

Organize your bases and outposts to support your operations on the whole map

Image

Rebels spotted? You have enough transport helicopters to quickly deploy a task force anywhere

Image

A patrol discovered that rebels left IEDs in the village. Engineers are urgently send by mi-8 to clear them. On the right, another patrol just fell in an ambush

Image

The map is large, and the danger may be everywhere. The more villages the rebels control, the more reinforcements they have. Don't stay passive.

Image

Home sweet home. A heavy patrol return at the main base after having completed its task. Thanks to its central position, the main base is a good position to place our reserves, until they are requiered elsewhere.

Image

Outpost Rokossovsky is currently harassed and need to be fortified. Fortunately, thanks to the airfield built previously, an IL-76 can bring enough supply to prepare better defenses.

Image

Usually, I prefer to keep some mysteries about future scenarios, but I had so much fun during my playtests that I wanted to share some actions
I have other projects on the go, but I hope to be able to finish the remaining scenarios more quickly.

I'll try to accellerate, until then and as usual,

Have fun :)

It's nice to see that you're sharing a few pictures with your announcements. Anyone who's ever created their own scenarios or campaigns knows how much work it is and that it sometimes takes a bit more time. Plus, there really is life outside of Panzer Corps...hard to imagine, but it's true.

Sorry, it's just that I was doing only this scenario for the entire previous month, so I was extremely happy to have finished it
Sometimes, I do a long scenario and realize that it's not as good as intended and that I need to redo everything, so I was relieved that this particularly long scenario to make is finally ready.
I've counted more than 100 scripts, something like 50 tags can be activated, ... this scenario was a mess to made

As an excuse to not have it released for late september as announced, I decided to give some screenshots to at least show what the "star-scenario of the chapter" will looks like.

I keep my transmitter off until the whole chapter is ready, this time ; promise!

And... done !

Russia : Chapter 3 is ready and released !

As promised, everything was polished, and you will count on Wagner mercenaries to assist you.

Image

In this chapter, your russian veterans from Syria and Ukraine will be deployed in Sahel for 3 new scenarios ; where you'll lead your expeditionnary force to assist local countries and strenghten ties between them and Russia.

I have talked too much about the "star scenario" previously, the second one of the chapter, that involves base building and many other features ; so I will not tell anything more and let you discover the other two scenarios by yourselves.

As usual, you can continue with the army you had in the previous russian chapters, or start with a fresh one given by default.

Akkula/Stormbringer left the mod to create his own game, but that doesn't mean we won't keep you busy with the good old mod while waiting for the game to come out

Just this week-end, Tobi released an additional Polish/Belarus campaign, a new mapper join our ranks, and here is the new chapter of my story.

I hope you didn't think the mod was dead, we still have content to offer

have fun ! :D

Hi Imeror, I'm taking a break from creating campaigns and have started playing your Russia campaign again. Very well done. Great choice of music, I must say. Of course, I couldn't help myself and started to modify the campaign a little for my own personal use. I added a few special fields, translated it into German and, of course, added heroes. If I finish it this afternoon, I'm looking forward to a pleasant evening of gaming. Greetings, Tobi.

If you want to release a "Tobi's German Deluxe Edition" (or any shorter name), I'm not against.

By the way, can I borrow your idea about having heroe icons generated by AI instead of the usual insignia icon ? It looks so cool

I made a very small update : people that don't import their previous core army start the chapter with 8500 prestige points instead of 1500.

Hello Imeror, if you are planning to create portraits of any nation, could you perhaps make them available to me? I can always use something like that. Of course, there is no rush.

Of course !

I realized that I started a Serbian campaign but realized later that there were no serbian heroes in the mod ; so I will certainly add them as a priority... But not now, I also take some Pz Corps vacations

All Serbian heroes are on the website of the international tribunal in Gaga ;) So the AI will help you !!! Soon I will finish the Terminators mod and will start to pass this company but I still have to choose to start this company with my old core of thugs veterans +1500 prestige or with 8000 but for that new strong newcomers ))))

P.s.

Since I have completed the Terminator saga tonight, if there are no important personal matters, I will start the third chapter for Russia !

I would like to plead my innocence in this terrible case of anachronism, Your Honor.

Basically, I've not modified anything about heroes and "told" my campaign to go to use the default heroes in Akkula's Modern Conflicts mod folder.
In normal conditions, you should just have the regular insignia of the Russian army ; so I assume you accidentally changed your main mod folder, probably while installing another mod previously.

Otherwise, it's the start of a creepypasta, with the ghost of a WWII veteran appearing in Panzer Corps via a photography that no one put in the game.

We will consider it once installation perhaps I need to disable the mod from Puma which allows you to buy and fleet ) No other unnecessary mods through the programme JSGME except mod modern conflicts I have not installed ) Well also maybe the Russian flag language selection option distorts the connection a bit but I'll change it to the English version now and disable the Puma mod )))

Yes, the problem with ghost heroes was most likely due to the Puma mod. After it was disabled, only the inscription popped up )))
This time, I destroyed three rebel leaders and captured all the important points. The rest is in the screenshots and replays. Now I'll translate the pictures online.
