Don't worry TGD I'll find a guest spot for you somewhere during the campaign

In the meantime, would you like to be the commander of the London trained band? You can't move tho!...yet!

It has come to my attention that General Ulysisgrunt has mislaid his army somewhere in the midlands. No matter. I have arranged for a new army of salt-of-the-earth Cock-er-neys to be mustered in the capital. I believe it be Gods will that the General would take charge of them and run them up north to aid the Parliamentary cause.

That' s settled then Danny the disgraced will park his chafed butt in London along with 1000 points of London Apprentices and 150 additional points for the District of London. (Hence, at the minute there are 2150 points siting in London! of which only 1150 can move, if they so desire it! Danny get yer London guide book organised and good luck!
I will update the map presently!

Effective immediately! New Flying Column Rule
Straight change to rule update 3.5.17 regarding flying columns. "Flying columns must now have twice as many cavalry as units with pike and no medium or heavy artillery."

Bad news for our side then. Our cavalry is useless, so to have any chance of winning we should really should only use flying columns where there is no danger of engagement! Royalist would be fools not to use flying columns all the time. Their strength is their cavalry.

It looks like royalist generals A B T & Y are forming a line and sweeping ever south like beaters flushing out a partridge. I think you would do well to reinforce our front line by heading north. I will be heading that way soon. I have first the small task of kicking the royalist out of East Anglia. It shouldn't take too long
GDod - My move is 14 Essex to 15 Suffolk with a standard army.

Hold the press Ianiow... the Royalists are not happy so I'll have to negotiate a more acceptable definition of flying column. It may be that the ratio may have to change... possibly to 1:1.5. either way it cannot stay as previously as there was no visible difference between a royalist field army and a flying column. And that wasn't the intention. there should be some risk in using a flying column.

Proposed correction to New Flying Column Rule (version b)
Change to rule update 3.5.17 regarding flying columns version (b). "Flying columns must now have 1.5 (rounded down in favour of the infantry) as many cavalry as units with pike and no medium or heavy artillery."

1.5 seems better. Seeing as our cavalry is garbage, 2-1 looked debilitating. If we had identical army lists it wouldn't be a problem. I do agree that they should be a risk though, and I think it's a good change.

That's an understatement Warlord... the midlands are swarming with royalists!
Kerry D could close the door by going in Wiltshire (17).
In my case, either 1) I help Ulysisgrunt who is facing two enemies (maybe by going in Goucestershire (22) ?), or 2) I close the gate of the north of South Midland by going to Northamptonshire (10).
What do you think ?

I didn't saw the defeat of Ulysisgrunt. So I'm much alone against 3 royalist armies

I create a secret FB group. I think it will be more practical than a forum especially for those who spend a great deal of time on FB. Of course the forum (this line of communication) remains a priority, but FB can be used to discuss it more clearly.
Those who wish can join it. If every parliamentarian comes, it will be great

Otherwise, too bad, it will be another group FB stillborn
