Nice one Alasdair - I do like your style.
Or in other words - "Here it is - now what are you going to do about it?"
Thanks Pete
hope you are well, Nigel is also underestimating his army, I know I have just boxed it up, he has 10 units of warrior bow
take care you lot, see you next week
Alasdair
That said I would be surprised if Rays or Simons lists are much different

Since others are playing this game, and I've seen everyone's list*, here's mine:
2 x 6 Samurai Cavalry
1 x 4 Hatamoto Guard
4 x 6 Samurai Foot
2 x 8 Ashigaru Spear
2 x 8 Ashigaru Bow
2 x 6 Ashigaru HW
* I can confirm that Alasdair knows Nigel's list better than Nigel.
** And Dave knows mine better than I do!

(Apologies for cross-posting in the FOGR forum, but I don't know whether everyone is reading both threads for Challenge)
One of the joys of organising a large event is juggling the numbers for the weekend. I think that I may have set a new personal record this time, with 9 competitions of which 6 have odd numbers!
Two self-balance as we have a floater already. However, the other four are FOG R, DBMM, FOW (early War) and Bolt Action. I never want anyone to feel pressured to move out of their first choice event, but if there is anyone out there who would be willing to move, could you let me know?
Thanks,
Tim

Dear Tim,
I can bring a DBMM army, something Chinese, but I'm horribly out of practice.
As I'm in the FOGR comp that would solve 2 of your problems.
Regards, Brian Holmes.

Most sane people are happy to say Oxford just to avoid Alasdair and Ben in rounds 1 & 2!!!
Don
Why would you want to avoid them in Round 1? Surely good strategy to play Alasdair in the first round, thus improving your draw for the rest of the tournament, and you can't play him again..

How much is it worth to arrange this, Richard?

I am happy with that if the umpire can arrange it accidentally
to be fair that's more to do with Richards army than with Richard

as an aside on extra's armies being brought... i have my mongols/barbarian horde mounted army in the car, left over from thurs night... its up as an army that can be borrowed if required.. it will do fogam/r and may be dbmm... as i say its an extra army if there is need to be a bit of last minute emergency re-organising on the tomorrow/sunday.
for clairity: I'm staying FOGR... looking forward to giving those warriors a run out....
cheers

It was a hard fought game and very enjoyable game with many twists and turns... (Usually your armoured cav wing bearing down

)...
Moving 20 Bg's is a mammoth task

may go for a small army next time.. around 18 BGs ....
