Well he was planning to.

In a real break from tradition, Jim G and I played a practice game with my Henricians against Jim's Caroline's. I had expected 'enry to woo her, marry her, f..k her and then cut off her head!. However Caroline was made of sterner stuff and just rolled over 'enry, not helped by both superior bill units routing in one turn to leave 'enry's centre in tatters. It was not a marriage made in heaven!

Maybe a rethink is on the cards!

Brilliant

more than 1/2 the lists in, keep them coming, and the army choices are brilliant a full range of armies, armies you would never have seen on the table before

cheers

Alasdair

(Just as its a friendly competition I thought I'd list the armies that have not been chosen yet in case anybody is interested)

Only 6(9ish) left to have a full sweep of armies

Early 16th century Europe, Date 1494-1555

Milanese, Papal States, Florentine, Early Henrican English, Later Henrican English, Scottish, Irish, Peasant Wars (Not Hungarian), Later Henrician English

I have 4 armies in total, many of the figures for which could be morphed. I guess the only army I couldn't put together is the Irish!

One of your Generals is English - Lord Darcy, Warden of the English West March. Commanded the English Border Reivers at Flodden Field when there was a stand off (pact) between the English and Scottish Border Reivers which in the end cost the Scottish Border Reivers Commander to lose their heads.

We're doing well

13 lists in, 8 different armies in, and 2 lists which we have 3 of, one well expected, the other one totally leftside,

but what do I know I am playing with Irish

cheers
