I noticed that you invested heavily in air labs for Italy. Is this a wise decision? I find it very costly to produce air units for Italy regarding the low PP income and even if you upgrade the two starting air units rapidly, it seems quite an investment to build two labs for just few Italian air units.

My next planned, and first build for the Italians, is a fighter for the Russian front. I will then start building infantry for the Russian front and the defense of Italy. Also, the Italian tactical bomber and possibly fighter in the Med will be transferred to Russia also. If I do transfer the second Italian fighter then I'll deploy a third German fighter to North Africa to replace it.

Just some questions. In Poland, when(how) did the city "Lodz" appear?... and what happen to the Polish-Soviet defenses?
But good luck with your strategy! :)

It's part of the changes we've made so far in GS v2.00.

From my experience Italy deffinetely need either air or armour or even naval labs (and building this units), if you invest just in infantry and build infantry, their manpower will go away extremely fast.

I'm curious about that myself. We'll see if they show up by May.

That is weird. Can you ask your opponent if the Russian forces in eastern Poland is actually there. It's like the code didn't move the units to the border at the end of turn 2. Did you start the game before or after we made the changes to eastern Europe so Poland is completely Polish at the start of the game?

You could also try declaring war on the USSR before you do anything with your turn. Maybe the troops will appear if you do. Then of course you would exit the turn and replay without declaring war on the USSR. At least you would know.

email to Neil wrote:By the way, it looks like we have an issue with this game in Russia. I wasn't seeing any boarder Russian units so I DOW'ed to see if they would show up and they didn't. (I'm planning on invading in 2 turns - May 13). Anyway, I don't see how we can continue. What about a restart (again) with v2.00g*?

Sorry about that folks; but those are the risks when you're beta testing.

The good side is that we now have a chance to have a game playtested with the updated Poland and Belgium.

Yes it is. And third times a charm (I hope). :D
