Not that it matters much given the success on all other fronts, but, the more ground you take in France the less chance of more partisans being formed! Since the probability is per hex occupied. So you might want to conserve those garrisons in place until the US cavalry arrive.

You are right, i just wanna make a broad landing beach for my troops so i don´t have to use invasion points.

Personally, I think it's a mistake to keep Russian corps; especially, mechanized corps, that close to the axis in 1941. At a minimum, I see two mechanized corps that Aryaman can destroy next turn. That's 100 PPs! And even if he doesn't kill them if he maintains contact with them then you rail to safety.

Never mind. I see you counter attacked even before winter and destroyed a couple of axis units. Also, if I read your AAR correctly you still have a foothold in France. Is that correct?

It was a little to close, i agree. The reason is that i want to lure him to dispurse his army, if he gets caught in the field during winter then i can really hurt him. In this game he has lost a lot of PPs and oil so i want to keep pressure on him as soon as possible.

Yeap...still a foothold in France, thinking about opening up a third front from there. Put more pressure on the italians in the MED and russian counter attack in winter. All this in 41 should bring the germans to their knees.

Why on earth would your opponent allow you to still be in France? That's just amazing! Personally, I would send as many US ground and air units to France as soon as possible if you still have that foothold when the US enters.
In my opinion, the whole purpose of kicking the axis out of North Africa and then going after Italy in 1942 & 1943 is that put pressure on the axis in order to help the Russians. And the reason for doing that in the Med versus France is that the western allies are too weak to attack the axis directly. However; by allowing you direct access to France in 1942 and without having to launch an amphibious invasion is a MAJOR, game losing, mistake.

What about fighters? Do you have enough to control the skies, or at worse, neutralized his fighters.

Yes i should, i have tech advantage with UK against germans and i have 5 currently in the MED, i am on my way to redeploy 2-3 to britain or France depending when the get there. With 1 US figther that should be enough. I have 3 US tacs and 2 STR bombers as well.

Winter has arrived and planned offensive dor russians can begin....
I chosen 3 different directions to attack, shown in the picture. I am also gonna advance in the north so he can´t redeploy fresh troops to southern sector.

Any three - the two in Sicily plus one on the mainland (Calgliari in Sardinia doesnt count)
PS: Send a GAR-transport up the Adriatic to Ancona - many players quite often leave it ungarrisoned (I've taken it this way against three players) so its quite a shock for them when Italy surrenders (if you have the two Sicilian cities already which you are close to doing)

I think Ayraman has got his hands full on this one, the power the russians now posses is enough to put pressure on Axis forces alone, even without US and UK.
It would be interesting to see his oil stock, i think he must be running very low by now. I am gonna ask him....
