Very well job "standarizing" some new, non vanilla icons to make them look like a vanilla unit! :-)

Just adjusted my equipment file so Elite and SS are separate, whilst retaining the SE bonus units. The screenshot confirms that the color looks just fine. (The SE bonus unit skin is directly based on something very cool phcas posted in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=147&t=49513&start=20).

What I do need to do, especially now that I have seen the units in the desert, is create some shadow effects. The e-50 is just fine, but the Loewe, e-75 and e-100 seems to be hovering. I'll check the others as well.

Interesting concept... This may prove useful to a lot of people as they can now include some really nice models into their vanilla games. Thank you! :)

Final update on the 10 new units for DCS. I've done the shading and the effects look good enough.

Link to all 10 units and masks: https://app.box.com/s/5mqjjcwrzugdkch5l0h1

Sample, done with my Vanilla Desert skin:

Hi all,

I downloaded the latest version of this Camo utility. I notice it comes with a bunch of templates to play around with but there are not templates for all the different vehicles, soldiers and planes in the game. Has anyone expanded the number of templates? Is there someplace where I can download more of them?

Much thanks!

I can help you out a bit. These (https://app.box.com/s/ltt5ek0b0ugxbfwkrxos) are my German template units. Vanilla is complete. Most of the other stuff is either mine or Guille1434's. I only do German units. You may wanna try your hand at the masking tutorial, which is well written and surprisingly easy to do; it is what got me started. :-)

(The planes starting with @@@ require post processing with my custom utility, which you can find here: https://app.box.com/s/lepk0tmet8lfh9jcrnbq. Some planes are too big for DCS camo format, so my util splits, repositions and reassembles them after DCS processing.)

I'm trying to create a base icon with PaintShopProX5 and it won't let me save to 32 bit depth. I tried downloading Paint.net but it appears that the program has been hacked and wants to install some nasty malware on my computer. Anyone have any ideas on how to save in 32 bit depth? Thanks.

Nothing wrong with Paint.NET or its installer. Did you download from the official site? The site should point you towards this url: http://www.dotpdn.com/files/Paint.NET.3 ... nstall.zip

As for PSP, I didn't know that program still existed. Can't help you there. Try a Google search.

Trying to get the mask above to work. When I load it into the camo utility the blue and transparent areas will change color but the pink area doesn't do anything when I fiddle with it. It just stays the original color of the png file. Anyone know why that would be? Thanks.

Masking pink should be RGB 255,0,220. Yours is RGB 255,0,255.

The sprayshop is still the best thing that happened to the Panzer Corps modders alongside all the lovely threads with custom made units.

Thanks for the perfect tool!

I'd like to add my two eurocents:
First a Polish 1935 camo pattern. It's not perfect, but it does its job and the colours are pretty much accurate.
Polish 1935 tank and armoured train pattern

And to test it I used a slightly modified vanilla TKS tankette (the hard-coded non-historical checkerboard removed).

Even compared to the user-made campaigns? I hope not.
