Alright, it's confirmed that Arabia and thus Ptolemy are the aggressors. When you don't even try to argue your case, that makes it quite clear what is really true.

Given Ptolemy's lack of response and the fact that the ledger shows him having surprisingly little military power, I'm pretty sure he's trying to desperately assemble an army to oppose me.

Antigonids can always be "valued advisors" though...

So 285BC and finally the Egyptian and Arabian fightback against years of Judean aggression and expansion can begin.
The Egyptian Advance Guard under General Claenymes reaches the devastated region of Petra where the whole Judean army sits smugly over the emaciated corpses of its vanquished Nabatean garrison.
After a fierce battle the Judeans are crushed and Petra is expected to fall within the year to the Egyptian liberators.
The main Egyptian forces continue on their designated route out of the sight of Judean spies.
In a co-ordinated move, to the South East Egypt's Arabian allies now capture Aelana region in Nabatea Province from the Judeans.
The misled Judean populace in Jerusalem are reportedly now turning on the High Priests in their gilded Temple and accusations fly around of false prophets promising them a huge Empire and easy conquests..........
Some priests are reportedly scanning the horizon to the south from the walls of Jerusalem with horses saddled ready to abandon their people to their fate...........

Yeah I had a feeling this might happen when devoncop was persisting despite no sign yaitz would relent. Still someways to go but if it ends the way it started I'm going to say the Judeans talked themselves into annihilation.

An open letter from Judea to the world:
It is quite clear that what has happened was that Arabia attacked Judea, Ptolemaic-Arabian relations surpassed a critical point, and Ptolemy was called in to an aggressive war. This is why it was a gap of several years between the aggressive Arabian declaration of war and Ptolemy's entry into the war. His deal with Judea to permit us to punish Arabia's aggression slightly was cut short when Arabia demanded he enter, and Ptolemy could not refuse. This is the only explanation of what has occurred that makes sense, accounting for Ptolemy's delayed entry as well as his change of heart.
As such, it is evident that Arabia, and thus Ptolemy, are the aggressors here.

For a consistently high standard of output the High Priest of Judea Johanan ben Aaron has been nominated for the "Lifetime Achievement Award" in the category of "Groundbreaking Fiction".....
It should be noted that the "Lifetime Achievement Award" is normally given to those writers approaching the end of their lives. .....

Then what is Ptolemy's claimed version of what occured, and how does it fit with Ptolemy's change of heart and delayed entry?
Given that Ptolemy has never put forward a sensible account of what truly occured, while Judea has, it is not the High Priest who should recieve the prize for excellence in fiction...
And Johanan ben Aaron warns Ptolemy that he who enters God's inner chambers once a year without harm will surely not fall to such a wicked man as Ptolemy.
