This is not true. Losers of impact suffer a minus to CT more easily.

If it will only be in english ....you will loose most of the french players and they are already leaving fog for "Art de la Guerre" and SAGA .

Hi Jacques,

the French players don't leave FOG, they just play Saga like they played musket and tomahawks, just for a moment and gone to something else, before you can turn your head ;-)
the french rule " art de la guerre" is a different game and very few players of FOG use it;
as all the players in the world we wait the V2, even if it will be only in English, the few changes will be easy to translate;

Best regards

thefrenchjester

PS: where is the message of JD?

If it's the posting I saw he wrote "significant announcement" not "due out".

Always dangerous to have something approximating to actual data, however if the link works correctly, this is a graph showing the trend in monthly page loads for the FoG Wiki on my site over the past 2 years.

http://statcounter.com/p4112478/summary ... area_graph

Of course, lots of other factors as well as general interest in FoG:AM at play here.

Tim, login to that page is required to access the information.

BTW, it seems activity on this forum is also VERY low.

Need to log in Tim. Why don't you take a screen shot and post it as an image on here?

OK - will do so when I get home and have ftp access to uplaod a pic.

I think you can also go in direct and choose a date range yourself via this link :

http://statcounter.com/p4112478/summary/

..which look as if it will work without registration, and allows you to play with the numbers yourself.

My data selection was ;
- changing the graph type to "Monthly" (above the chart)
- change dateline (below the graph) to run from October 2008 to June 2012 (thats the full lifetime of the wiki I think)
- change data to show just one of the three options
- change Graph Type to an area graph
- click the green "Update" button

Hmmm - try going in through the link at the bottom of the FoG wiki pages where it says to see the stats...

Monthly trend in Wiki pageloads from 2009-current

Image

Same data, but datapoints weekly

Image

Same date range, but for the Battle Reports pages. They tend to spike whenever I load a new report (unsurprisingly...)

Image

Same date range, but for the 15mm manufacturers suppliers page. The spike looks to be when I added a 15mm Renaissance suppliers page and tracked it on the same graph

Data seem very interesting. If we look at trends there is clearly a growth until jan 2010 and then a slow decline. I wonder why January 2010 was its highest peak. Maybe every wargame has such an evolution, a cycle with growing interest at the beginning until if fades, people get used to it, etc (thus revealing that new versions are a "must do"). Or other competitors appeared around that time. Indeed it can't be claimed that there is less interest in miniatures, as the trend on looking to suppliers seams on the overall positive, at most flat. It can also be claimed that a wiki is not consulted when players already know well how to play, thus then the stats show when less new players are added.

On the other hand I would say that the interest in madaxeman reports is a flat line, basically, which might mean that your public is not as much FoG players as public who enjoy battle reports on the Internet.
