Just to understand this: will each player get a new army list for each match; or will a player get one army list to use for all matches?

All the matches will be pre-rolled by me. I randomly roll them all with filters off and potluck settings. Then, I use a website randomizer to assign the battles to player pairings. It's theoretically possible, but highly unlikely, that you could end up with the same list more than one match. We have seen the same list pop up a couple of times in the same tourney, but never has the same player ended up with the same list in more than one game, or even faced the same list more than once.
It was suggested I do this in feedback after this first tourney, as some players didn't know how to do how, or failed to do this properly.

Prompted by the discussion going on in the DL Rally Point thread, would it be possible to “pot luck” the battle type as well (i.e. field battle, baggage train, flank march, etc)? Or failing that (I can’t remember if the game lest you randomize that in setup and I’m not able to check at the moment), have an outside randomizer roll on a table, possibly weighted towards regular field battles? Not sure if it’d be something players would even want to see, but in the interest of shaking things up even more I thought I’d toss it out for consideration, either in this season or the next.

potluck is not an option for battle type.

I will not be setting up a randomizer for battle type. Some of the scenarios randomize which units are initially available and randomly deploy them. This results in stupid things like chariots and cataphracts starting in the middle of forests, heavy troops appearing first and lights appearing later, and troops deployed on flanks in idiotic groupings. Also, it would a bit of extra time to do such randomizing, given the likely number of matches in the upcoming tournament. What I will do though is add an option that if players MUTUALLY AGREE, they can opt to fight a different scenario.

Entirely fair point! I haven't played around enough with the different battle types to realize that some of them are kind of wonky in the deployment. That's a fair compromise, though!

I'd like to join. 100% MP rookie here, sounds like a fun way to try MP.
