- Added "cheat AllEqp" cheat code which unlocks all equipment for the current player
- Added "cheat AddMedal <medal> <optional level>" cheat code which gives specified medal to the currently selected unit. Possible options for medals are:
-- HeroicDefenseMedal
-- UnstoppableOffensiveMedal
-- AntiInfantryVeteranMedal
-- AntiTankVeteranMedal
-- AerialAceMedal
-- DependableSupportMedal
-- UrbanLegendMedal
==========================================================================
Can we get a full list somewhere of all the codes.

There is a post with some such as Cheat NewHero but it doesn't list the arguments such as Cheat NewHero ZeroSlots which works but Cheat NewHero FirstStrike doesn't

No, that's my regular tank. The update happened on the GOG version of the game as I was in the middle of my Kursk scenario. After starting Smolensk'43 all my units lost their medals. Since the Sovieds started first in that scenario, it became a bit obvious that it's a new issue for me at least after the notifications about medals started popping up like crazy each time any of my units fired. :)

Yes, Steam auto-updates, but if you are using a standalone version, then you can download all patches using MY PAGE on the Slitherine site.

Happens to me too. The medals pop up AFTER the first combat-- so you fight the first combat without any of your medal stats being applied. That can put you at a big disadvantage for all your first-turn combats!

I can never get the Steam auto updates to work, they always time out. Just tried to download the new patch from My Page and it throws this error
The requested URL /pub/PanzerCorps2/PanzerCorps2_01_01_00b_Hotfix.zip was not found on this server.

You can download the same files (but without Slitherine digital signature) here:

Not sure what happened with "official" link. I think it worked earlier today.

I notified the folks at Slitherine per the 'hotfix' patch not being available.
Thank you, Rudankort, for the download.
Glad it was smaller then the original. :)

Gotta say I am quite impressed about this patch  :D
I love every new improvement and features. My highlights:
- The AI using the fighters as escorts, finally!. I felt the difficulty increase almost immediately.
- AI rebasing its planes, I still didnt manage to test it, but needed improvement for sure.
- The option to turn the minimap on/off. As a player who uses the minimap frequently I found this new feature quite useful in big scenarios where the minimap stole portion of the screen.
- The Random Scenarios new features.... now we are talking!. I think there is still room for more features/improvements. But for now, I just freaking love it.
- Chat improvements

Personally, I think the game is getting better and better. Thanks a lot dev team!.

Best regards,
Akkula.

Should be interesting to replay Defenders of the Reich now.

And in future, this patch paves the way for aircraft to be added to AI reinforcement pools. Good stuff all around. :D

Didn't have the opportunity to test the changes yet, but if the patch keeps the promises it makes in the change log this is very, very good. The AI changes were exactly what I was hoping for, but didn't believe would come so soon.

Hi! First post...thanks for the update Devs/Pubs... Update clearly headed in the right direction, and having loads of fun with this title!

Uhhh, The Medal thing.

Also happening to me. Registered just to note this, since like Tassadar, the update occurred during play, and all the medals were gone straightaway on the next scenario commencement.

This is quite disconcerting, although having them shown before the patch but not certain if they were working was not really 'better' either I suppose. :)

Is a new game start required for this feature to now work correctly (I am unfamilair w/ the robustness of this engine to use old save-games- and am used to having to restart post-patch w some other engines) ?

Thanks for any response (and thanks also to Random and Tassadar for mentioning this problem in the first place both here and elsewhere so I didn't think I was any crazier than usual!). ~CC

Thanks for the help with patch 3. I believe there may be a problem with the 2nd part of the patch (the hotfix?) 1.01.00b I installed the big patch 1.01.00 and immediately noticed the version number changed on the Panzer Corps launch window (says, version 1.01.00) After installing the hotfix patch, the version number did not change to version 1.01.00b

I do remember seeing an error window, something about failing to open a descriptor file. Am I running the correct version of the patch?

Thanks,
Lee

For me, this has been fixed with the "b" version of the update. But like Rudankort said, it's situational. Here's how it works for me:

- If you open the start of a saved scenario (say, deployment phase) you still have the problem. Worst Case: the medals are STILL THERE, but you won't see them applied until AFTER you have combat EX: You have a tank with a Level 3 Anti-infantry medal. Upon first combat the level 1 medal will pop up. Second combat the level 1 bonus will be applied, and the level 2 medal pops up. Third combat the level 2 bonus is applied and the level 3 medal pops up. From then on you are good forever. So you definitely have to suck it up one time for the first couple of turns, but better than restarting a campaign if you are halfway through...

- BUT if you can replay the last turn of a prior scenario (usually very short as you cruise to victory! :) ), when you proceed to the next scenario everything will work fine: medals will be there, stats will update properly, etc.

Thanks for responding. :)

Yes, I had tried that (replaying the last turn of the preceding scenario) immediately upon noticing that all the awards were gone in the Deployment phase of the next scenario (for me, next is Gazala - so early, but not early enough for me to really WANT to restart if I don't have to, for sure!). No effect, medals still disappeared in Deployment at Gazala.

Now, it was zero dark thirty hereabouts when I noticed this and the update... so I just went to sleep after finding this thread and posting above, hoping for inspiration or succor with a new day after some sleep and more caffeine...

Thinking about it, I have found in the past that some applications of patches in Steam versions (which is the vers. I use) require a restart of the Steam app. for patches to fully/properly/or even apply at all. This I had not done before I tried the trick you mentioned, which, with it now being a new day and a fresh espresso, I shall now endeavor, and report back in an edit of this post.

Thanks again! ~CC

::EDIT::
Aaaannddd, yeah. That's the ticket. Restarting the Steam app. and THEN replaying the last turn of the preceding Scenario, and the awards have reappeared properly in the Gazala Deployment phase. At least the attack/defense bonuses also appear to be tracking in stats as well, so... Sweet! Now, heroes which are target-specific (and not class-specific) in affect, prob. can't be reflected in stats, so that will have to be from observed behavior (like say, tank killer, or butcher).

Not sure is WAD or a bug, but of course, unfortunately one can still see some enemy positions/objectives through both FOW and Shroud in Deployment when looking at Strategic View, which - of course generally should be antithetical to the concept of why most players (like me) use Shroud in the first place. Perhaps there is a control I had not seen, or, there will be. :) ~Thanks for the comments Random! ~CC

Tested this on the earlier affected save from Kursk and yes, it also worked on the GOG copy. Initially going through the entire next scenario after applying the patch also helped to resolve it in the next mission, but this seems to be a much faster and more convenint solution if the campagin was in progress before the patch and the bug occurs.

Thanks to Flashback Games for improving this already great game.

There is a hotfix download too. How do we get this to work? There ought to be a readme.txt in the download to explain how it is to be applied.

Did encirclement get nerfed? I am in the middle of a GC running deadly grasp (or w/e it's called) and it is not causing the same amount of per term suppression as before patch. It's fine cause it was OP anyway but just wondering if this was intended.
