There's probably be something wrong with my eyes or display, but left barrels were looking like being hidden in the cloud of smoke for me, so again I colored it in a more "sharper" way:

Excellent friend unit, I will use it in my mod.

New update:

+ German infantry system becomes more historically accurate and tough to manage (only bonus grenandiers are available until 43-44, in replacement jager infantry added - dont mix it up with mountain jagers!);
+ minor revise of stats for some models of towed AT mostly and few infantry types;
+ tuned AI from Poland to Kursk scenarious - it should become more agressive and variable;
+ added fantasy ISU-203 and '"tank"-mode for Calliope, also KV-2 main mode is now artillery (switch is still working!).

Example of fine tuning:

7.5 cm FK 16 nA    cost = 158  range = 3   transport = horsepower
75 mm M1A1         cost = 132  range = 2   transport = land

Early model Il-2 removed rear mg, thus stock icon renamed to Il-2M3; Il-10 got 12.7mm barrel drawn:

You are doing well friend, you are working for the other nations.
in my case I only go with the Germans.
Although I am designing it so that the Allies are difficult to beat without changing their statistics.

Hello Vintage:

If you are planning to work on aircraft icons, I suggest you use the ones made by Bebro (another forum member, that has been long absent in here), that made a complete replacement pack for all the vanilla game aircraft icons. Those made by him look much better and in fact, they have become the "standard" icons for air units, that nearly all modders happily adopted for their modding works...

By the way, I am uploading some icons for the british Crusader Mk.I and II tanks, that you were asking for...

Greetings!

Yes, I know about that set of planes of course, but my goal is to be close to vanilla style as much as possible, for example (see png):

Have You found Crusader's Mk-III mask and plain files useful (in request topic)?

Vintage: I stored that base file and mask, but it looked more like a Mk.I than a Mk.III (you can see the auxiliary machine gun turret on thet icon)... In fact I used the basic vanilla game icon (to keep the original color) and blended parts of an excellent scale model photo I have in my files to that original icon, to reach an, in my humble opinion, a good vanilla style icon.

That is the Bf 109 E that I am going to use in my mod.
it is the same vanilla but with some details.
It is simple but I will differentiate it from the other versions.

Nicely painted one! 8)
So You're going to redraw all vanilla planes? - this will take some time :D

Hello Vintage: The CS in the denomintaion of the 76 mm armed Crusader tanks was for "Close Support" (also applied to many other howitzer equipped British tanks).

AA-system update: now big guns with switch have their secondary traits disabled in the opposite mod; small guns without switch got higher stats in defense.

Example:

37mm M1939 5 136 16 0 1 2 2 5 -2 -6 14 0 2 10 0 0 3 Soviet_Bofors_40_mm.png
76mm M1938 5 217 14 0 0 2 3 6 0 0 16 0 2 10 0 0 3 Soviet_76mm_Model_1938.png
76mm M1938 AT 3 217 14 0 0 2 0 6 4 14 0 1 5 10 0 0 3 Soviet_76mm_M1938_AT.png

Need your opinion: I have an idea to improve main infantry's role by increasing its basic size to 15 ("special" types like paratroopers or militia will stay 10); also this way it will be possible to differentiate x2 and x3 -regiment Wehrmacht divisions. What do you think about?

when they increase to 15, the in-game cost to replenish reinforcements also increases.
If a unit has 5 and you want to take it to 15, you know that you have to buy 10 reinforcements, because after 1943 it will be very expensive and soon you will have to leave that unit behind to complete it after the mission.

I hope this would not be a major problem :)

Tiny update: dismounted cavalry now got the icons with horses (instead of pure riflemen squad), bridge engineers now have speed = 5 to simulate tractor movement - so no external transport to buy is needed anymore! Also added Soviet AT-infantry! 8)
