Life sucks and I'm going to have to miss this :(

Must be the 6th time this year I've had to cancel something I wanted to do to do something I don't want to instead ...

Sorry about this.

Here are the Runners and Riders for this weekend.

A really interesting selection and not at all what I expected. Last year the "dominant" army was Later TYW Germans. This year it's the Q'in Chinese followed by various Central African lists! There is an odd number of entrants, so assuming we don't get any last minute entries or drop-outs then I will not play and act as the umpire.

The list above shows how the pre-set tables will be allocated based on the available terrain types for each army. There is one spare table so we can ensure that no one has to play on the same table twice.

We kick off at 9am on Saturday and teas, coffees and biscuits will be provided. See you then.

Well here are the results from Saturdays event won again by the all-conquering Alasdair with a pedestrian Western Sudanese army! For a Saturday in December, I thought 14 was a good turn out including 4 new players to the Southern League in Lynette, Wayne, Will and Pete. Special mention must go to Will for whom this was his first ever FoGR competition and especially to Pete who was playing his first ever FoGR games! Respect!

Stephen Stead grabbed 2nd spot with a frightlingly shooty Colonial Portuguese and my Q'in snuck 3rd ahead of my clubmate Jim Gibson!

I'd like to say a big thank you to my 3 opponents, Keith, Bryan and Alasdair for 3 great games. I don't know what's up with Keith's dice but every time he gets into a melee the 6, 5, 4 and 3 spots go missing! My game against Alasdair was awesomely bloody with both of us having fragged units just clinging on to cohesion and a huge pile of dead bases. As ever with Alasdair it was a real fun open game with the inevitable result!

Here's to 2015 and hopefully we can get back to a Sunday slot in November!
