Hi one thing we should try is you have two graphic cards in your Asus notebook and we want to force using your best one, the NVIDIA one not your intern Intel one:
You can set this by hand to always use the NVIDIA one for high performance, a tutorial here:

Thanks for the link, at least I learn things about my computer... Well my display is now 100%.
As far as the driver is concerned, Asus won´t let me change my driver and when I check updates they say my present driver is the ultimate I can have.
I already changed yesterday my driver Nvidia for the newest available and checked that Nvidia high performance is prefered in the Nvidia control panel, and it is.
The situation remains the same: after the introduction is played a screen with just the tiltle of the game and a picture of german soldiers appears (soundtrack on) without any control or button.

Could you please attach a new DxDiag report, so that we can check if the System DPI is also configured to 96DPI?

Hi
Please download the attached zip and unpack this archive to your Steam local installation files and run ctgw_steam_d3d.exe manually.
You Steam local folder normally is something like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Commander The Great War
And tell us if this solved your resolution problems or not please.

Ok, we can try this, but it is a bit tricky if you are not familiar working in Windows registry.
The problem you have is caused by Windows 8.1, your System DPI is force set to 120 (125%) so you cannot see the rest of the main menu.
Now apparently Windows 8.1 may reset this back automatically, but let us give this one try.
And set your System DPI to 96 (100%) by hand. There is a very good tutorial here, go to Option Two and follow instructions:
http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/28 ... 8-1-a.html
Again your system may reset each time... but cannot harm to try.
Anyway we will find a solution for you but this will take some time, if this does not work we may need a few days more to find one.

Hi,
Just a quick Q have you tried the last workaround yet?
To be honest unfortunately we have no idea what is the core cause, we have seen just a few similar and this with Windows touch devises, so will try and set up a test machine and will try to work it out with some colleagues next week when we prepare a big new Beta build.
If we cannot solve this, we will offer you a full refund, but if you have the patience please bare with us as we can use your data and case and find a solution.

Hi
No I have not tried the last workaround, I tried enough things for ten days in my opinion. If you can´t find out a solution I would agree with a refund or the possibility to download another game of yours, for instance Panzerkorps, I don´t have any of your games so far so any will do.

Hi,
Please give us a few more days, we will try to get to Win8 / Intel 4000 test machine and figure this out... and if we cannot we will refund, but we rather see this fixed of course, if you can handle the wait.
